Hey, I bought my niece a 2DS with preinstalled Pokémon X. I helped her set up the system. The Pokémon X game doesn't come up as redownloadable. Can I copy the SD card data onto my PC as a back up? Would I be able to copy the pokemon X data onto an SD card, insert it into the 2DS and she'll have her copy of the game again?

Mmm, I'm hoping you didn't factory reset the 2DS because that would wipe the game from your account. If not you should be able to retrieve it from the ESHOP settings window. Did you already get it to work ?

Thanks for responding. I didn't factory reset it. My niece is 7 and her mom DOES NOT want her playing Pokémon for personal reasons. I wanted a way to save the digital game until she's old enough to make decisions for herself then she can play it without having to pay $40 for it. I set up a Nintendo ID for her and noticed it wasn't redownloadable.

Just back it up on a computer and then delete it. The console should be able to recognize it again later

When something is preloaded (As opposed to installed by a code in the box) it works in a different way. (I think that is the only time you can keep the game after a factory reset but I would check for certain.)

Yeah, I copied the data off the SD card and saved it to my PC. I havent tries coping it back to see if its there.

I read somewhere that Pokemon evolve and that means Satan.

Ironically, they don't really "evolve". They undergo metamorphosis.
