Yeah. But not a guarantee. Based on sales, or something. That does motivate me a little more to buy it now to support the game, but I know I wouldn't care for the game much if I couldn't play it with my son. $5 is very reasonable though. I'll minimally buy it for my kid when it comes out next week.
A person without a sense of humor is like a wagon without springs. It's jolted by every pebble on the road.
Well, now that I'm playing the game, it's certainly pretty nice.
Off the top of my head, the thing I think it needs the most right now is more color variety in the blocks, it will be hard for creative people to do their thing if there's only a handful of colors available.
Vertical ladders would be nice too. Right now the only way to reach higher grounds is creating block ladders and those are bulky.
And adding some generated structures would be nice, right now the maps are kind of barren.
Edit:
Now I tried survival mode, there are some odd issues there.
Cutting wood gives you a single block of planks, not the wood itself. This means to make a house you'll need to cut many many trees, and you can't use the natural wood to decorate it.
Tree leaves do not dissappear naturally and are usually too high to break without wasting a lot of time.
Planting a sapling under existing leaves glitches them and makes some sort of tall tower of leaves above the existing leaves.
In addition, planting a tree replaces the block of dirt with wood, meaning that you need to stock up on dirt to plant trees.
There doesn't seem to be natural caves anywhere either, so mining for resources is not very exciting.
Oh well the game itself is pretty nifty. A good time waster.
And they promised to update it regularly, so they may fix all the nitpicks I have right now.
If you're interested, if say use the discount and get it.
All right. I time waster is exactly what I need and I really liked the demo, but of course the demo gives you infinite blocks and also flying so I wasn't sure how great the actual game would be
Welp someone got a review on youtube about the game.
For the time being it's a fun little game but would benefit from updates, will probably see about this, also hope Nintendo releases that battleminer update to NA soon.
@TeeJay: creative mode (like the demo) is still in the full version, with more terrain options and a few new items, so even if you don't like survival you can play there.
@Morpheel Yeah I just got the game and noticed Creator mode was just like the demo. I also really appreciate the ability to swap movement and camera movement because the default way is left-handed for some reason.
I haven't tried survival mode yet though. I'm sure I'll enjoy it more now that I know I can build whatever I want in a stress-free environment if I so wished.
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.
I can't seem to make an account. When I try to register it sends me to Gamers Digital and I DID make an account there and then they sent me an account activation thingy that doesn't work with the Cube Creator 3D forum cause it says I'm already logged in but when I go to the forums it says I can't post unless I log in and UGH
Not worth the trouble

Got a copy of the game now, takes longer to break blocks then in MC...also a pig killed it's self in the water, seems small animals die in the water unless it was this one time.
Yeah I noticed things take really long to break without tools, and tools last very little time.
In other news, turns out there actually are natural caves with minerals and monsters, I just randomly found one in the mountain.
The game is very generous with the minerals.
Haha, I just came back here to tell you about the caves but it seems you found out already.
Yeah it was slow at first but after a little sifting through my menus I found out I could craft wooden tools out of a single wood block. From there the first thing I did was get some more wood, then dig a deep tunnel. I found a cave and was promptly killed by a dark wizard and....uh...a bear? In an enclosed sealed cavern? Okay.
Anyway yeah. It killed me because I dropped into the cave from the sealing and couldn't carve a way back up in time before it killed me.
Doing pretty good for myself as I got a handful of this and that, just trying to get some mana to make a portal, it's really too bad that this don't have multiplayer but I dear say that might be a thing that they got to work on now...well on a side note if anyone gets battleminer and once the update comes out to NA I'm willing to play online sessions!, however I hope more stuff is added to that as well.
Ack, those underground carvers are far more expansive than I anticipated. I got distracted from my 3DS for a while and when I came back I was totally totally lost! I had to dig a staircase up to get out, everywhere I turned seemed to lead to either dead ends or more cavern.
When I could finally see sunlight again I looked around and I could see my first entrance from where I was standing, lol. I need to lay down markers or something when I go cave exploring...
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.
