Hi! I'm currently working on my Christmas shopping list and I've come up with a question about the game Yo-Kai watch for the 3DS. I have a younger brother who suffers from Epilepsy and even though he's 18, he's mentally about 9. Along with this his reading comprehension is very poor.
The reason why I'd like to get him Yo-Kai watch is because he absolutely loves the Pokemon series, but the only new game this year is Super Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (but due to the previous reasons he doesn't really get how to play the series). I'm just wondering how easy the game is for someone who can't really read long conversations or understand complex mechanics.
Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D Land are pretty fun games plus they don't require complex controls, Kid Icarus Uprising and Smash could be good games as well if you teach him how to play. (Pretty sure Kid Icarus would be easy since it's literally one button, the touch screen for powers and the circle pad to move lol)
From what I have seen, it seems to be aimed at the same young audience as Pokemon. You can watch some videos online to see for yourself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUJt_V3gw4I (muting is up to you)

Also, I think Etrian Odyssey series might be good. I'm pretty sure there aren't any really hard puzzles, there's no blood, only fantasy violence, and there's a picnic mode which makes the battles pretty easy. But if your brother really likes Pokemon, I think he might really like Yokai Watch as well.

He already has all of those besides Kid Icarus (which I own, and can barely play haha).

Maybe Mario & Luigi: Dream Team if he doesn't own that yet. The game is quite long, and has the level up mechanic like Pokemon. Mario and Luigi can also preform different moves, that keep the battle parts on the game fresh. The game also has easy controls, and the motion works well for it, too. It even has a left-handed option! There is some dialogue in the game, but nothing that isn't that hard to comprehend.
