I recently had a scare with my 3DS and it got me wondering just how secure my downloaded data is... I have Ambassador titles as well as a buttload of DSiWare that I fear losing. Does anyone know if a system-to-system transfer is possible?

As far as I can remember you can transfer all of your data (including Ambassador titles), and it all gets removed from the original system.
However theres nothing to help you if you lose your system. If that happens it seems all your stuff is lost - unless someone can confirm otherwise?
Settings > Other Settings > System Transfer.
I think there were people that had their Wii break, and they were able to get Nintendo to add the titles to a new system, so I imagine you could do something similar if your 3DS broke on you. If it got stolen you'd probably be out of luck though, because Nintendo wouldn't want two sets of games out there in the world when you only paid for one.
Yes, you absolutely can. You can perform a 3DS system to system transfer that transfers virtually everything from the source system. The only thing that ISN'T transferred is your system settings like internet connections and such. I have performed one myself and the process is all very smooth(But if you have a lot of stuff takes a bit). The only thing you must keep in mind is that you can only perform a system transfer 5 TIMES!! Transfer your stuff 5 times, and that's it! So choose wisely.
