With the 2GB card being full since a long time ago (due to videos and demos), I thought it was finally time to buy a bigger card. So, I decided to go all out and get a 32GB so I would never have to worry about space again (hopefully)!
I have decided to get a card from SanDisk, since I trust them fully. Now, I was wondering if there is any particular difference between the following two types cards (ignore the pictures, they are both available in 32GB):
Will both of the cards work?
Would you recommend one over the other?
Do anyone have these, or any 32GB card, and have experienced any noticable difference compared to the 2GB card that came with the 3DS?
I don't know if Ultra SDHC cards would work. It might or it might not.
I've been trying to find out for a while but nobody has a Sandisk Ultra SD card.
If you do opt for the Ultra SDHC card please comment on how well it works.

For the moment, it seems to be equal or better than the one that came with the 3DS. It's not worse, at least! And now there's ton of memory <3
@Miss_Birdo They look essentially the same. Looks like the second model comes in a wider variety of sizes, and the first has a greater read speed (30MB/s as opposed to 20MB/s), though with the 3DS I can't imagine read speed makes a massive difference. Could be wrong.
Also, make sure the class is above 4. Class 6 and higher are the best as it's better read/write speed so load times aren't as long as they shouldn't be.
I have NOT seen any differences in speed by Class by the same Brand but I've seen differences compared to different brands. I got an e-mail from Nintendo long ago that said they wouldn't recommend anything above Class 6 as it wouldn't make much of a difference. I think the 3DS has some sort of cap so that any class has the same speed. Though like I've seen other brands are shown to be slower. San Disk seems to be the best choice compared to all the input I received from other forums.
Ah, arright then. I had a Class 2 4GB Sandisk SD card and it was kinda slow loading my apps and games. I now have a 16GB Class 6 Patriot SD card and it loads things a bit quicker.
i have one of these in my 3ds right noe and i strongly recoment it. It loads 3ds videos and mp3 files much faster. And some apps are slightly faster to.
yeap, sandisk are great, but lexar also. i use a 16gb lexar platinum2 since the launch, and it never got full,of close to it. never gave me any problems neither.
i still have a couple of old sandisk from my cameras and none broke, they all work perfectly.
if i was you, i would buy something cheap from sandisk and wait until next xmas to buy a huge card. why?
because the big space card will be more handy when downloadable retail games will be available. right now, a 8gb would be more than sufficient.
I just have a normal SD Sandisk 32 GB card and so far it works, counts how many blocks I have and it even downloaded Youtube app fine. Has anyone had any issue where even if the card works, the system won't still download the game or something?
@Artwark I don't think so I wound up with a pretty random brand 16GB MicroSD card it takes about one second more to load the main menu but it downloaded all the games I had deleted from the old SD card(I couldn't let that crazy MH3U discount slip by ) so I did over 15 downloads with no problem. if that happened to you try seeing if you accidentally locked your SD card(this prevents any writing/deleting on the card)
goodbyes are a sad part of life but for every end there's a new beggining so one must never stop looking forward to the next dawn
