Yeah, decided I'll just wait till VVVVVV.
I believe this is the first eShop title that I won't be downloading... although I wish I started with (Not) Fun! (Not) Fun! Minigolf (DON'T) TOUCH

Lol, I see what you did there.

Anyways, I wouldn't buy this game because I feel it doesn't have enough focus in it. Tetris excels because it's... well, Tetris. Block Factory tries to be everything, and as a result it's not cohesive enough.

Metroid, Xenoblade, EarthBound shill

I run a YouTube/Twitch channel for fun. Check me out if you want to!

Please let me know before you send me a FC request, thanks.

Nintendo World Report gave this a 4/10, stating it's very limited for creating games, but also says it's easy to use, and share.

i though wasn't that bad nothing amazing but worth £3.60

only two problems i can see is the locked content eg. backgrounds and icons are locked and don't show you what they look like????

plus all of them cost 10 play coins which in my head is quite alot:/ for sumthing you cant cleary see:(

but on the up side the game does have 4 preset levels and you make you own as well.

going through 8 sections picking from background/icons/Colour/shape of pieces/ then picking speed and how you gain points like connecting or by colour and then few other options finish it.

Graphics arent anything amazing.

But they are bold and colorful, plus i do like the 3D effect on the backgrounds and the animation on them to.

Oh and you share creation with QR codes and streetpass which is cool!

While game nothing amazing its still quite fun even if its only people who enjoy puzzle games who get kick out of it

My rating
*** stars out 5

If we knew how small we were are problems wouldn't seem so BIG!

I was really really hoping to like this one more. In fact, it feels kind of 'light' on content, and it's big and baby-like graphics make me think this is more geared towards toddlers. I hate to say that since I spent my hard earned money on it and would probably give it a 4/10, if even that. Buy GameBoy Tetris instead, or Ketzal's Corridors, now that's an impressive game!

Good thing I chose that game! Will use my remaining e-shop credit for VVVVVV next week (: Heard good things about that ^^

Totally agree.
I was a bit iffy about it due to the trailer looking a bit boring, but I still bought it when it was released.
Just got around to actually playing it within the last week though, and it's pretty fun.

Block Factory wasn't even put on the Australian eShop, maybe that's a sign.

Did you try typing it into the search bar? Here in the U.S. It wasn't under 3D Games (or any other tabs), so I thought it didn't update, but when I typed it into the search bar it came up. I didn't buy it, though.

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

Yeah, I tried that.
It's not there.
The Australian eShop updates are usually exactly the same as the rest of the PAL regions, but for some reason last week it didn't update for us at all, not Block Factory or that other DSiWare that came out.
I could get either if I wanted to though by changing my region setting so no big deal.
Just a bit weird that we didn't get a single game in Australia last week
Not sure if those two games just aren't being released here for some reason, or if someone isn't doing their job properly.

There are alot of DSiWare games Australia is missing right? The trend probably continues in the e-shop..

Did the DSi-shop receive any new games? If so you know if those two games just aren't being released there for some reason, or if it's just a mistake (:

It costs additional money to the developer to release in Australia. If their projections don't show that they will make that money back and more, they don't bother.

block factory is made by the same people who made Pyramids, which didn't arrive here either. Maybe their company is a little too small to expand this far?

always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)

I see.
At least the 3DS doesn't share the same problem as the DSi where you can't change regions.
If they release something in Europe I want that doesn't make it here, no problem.

I couldn't not download it, despite the reviews. I think it's about as much as you can expect for $4, but I would have preferred more polish and a higher price point. You can probably get as many hours of play out of this as Gameboy Tetris (which is pretty much only limited by your lifespan), but I'd recommend Gameboy Tetris over this purely for the music. I honestly had to turn down the music on this and listen to my iPod instead, because the one and only music track is just so sadly unimpressive. The 3D is good for keeping the silly backgrounds from interfering with the gameplay, which is one thing that usually annoys me in Tetris games.

Buying this, this wasn't quite as good as Pyramids. I made a few puzzles that I mess around with, but it's sad how the default games are COMPLETE RIP-OFFS of well-known titles. I would at least liked the developers to make their own games to help give us ideas, and I can hardly find any QR Codes anywhere. Still a good game if you find a way to make a puzzle work, though.

Yeah, they really shouldn't have included any games at all if they were just going to be such obvious ripoffs, and it doesn't help people that they don't let you edit the included games to see how they were made. I'm pretty sure we're limited to 5 characters in our names because they're so worried we'll name our games Tetris or Columns or Dr. Mario or whatever, so I'm surprised they've made their games so similar to other games, especially when The Tetris Company is known for going after anyone that makes a game that's any degree of a clone. As it is, I find the Tetris clone pretty much unplayable because it never seems to level up, so it's too boring to even play.

Scoring options would have been nice, and I find it really inconsistent in how it scores colour matches more favourably than line matches, and bizarre that it doesn't reward you for matching more cells or lines at once than matching them separately or reward you for clearing on a higher level. I also find it strange that in games with line matches and lines of random garbage, it gives you random lines that are totally filled and yet don't clear till you drop the piece. I wish there were options to start at a higher level, because it basically forces me to make all my games have level ups for each successful matching in order for them to speed up quickly enough to be interesting.
