This is a great game, though it does make the WiiWare version obsolete for those who have both the Wii and the 3DS, having all the levels from the original plus a hundred more and the Endurance Mode. The new gameplay elements of the four new worlds (pressure platforms, gravity reversing blocks and blocks that self-destruct after coming into contact with a same type of block) are all interesting and mix things up nicely. If you have any kind of interest for a physics based puzzler, get this game. Now.
It looks great. Not so sure if the 3DS is the right place for this though.

If you are a lefty, then you can rotate the pieces with the face buttons too. I think this would be very comfortable for you - even better than the d-pad arrows work for me.
I played the wiiware demo and it is excellent. I will download the 3DS version because has more options than wiiware version.
Are there new plans for more wiiware or 3ds eshop games? I love your games, the graphics are top level. I love FAST Racing League and Jett Rocket. Thanks for the portable version of Art of Balance.
Me gusta jugar videojuegos. Soy de México. Sorry my english grammar. I love the Virtual Console, party and fighting games too.
The original was one of my favorite Wiiware games, so of course I had to buy this. I blasted through the first 100 levels and now I'm starting to sink my teeth into the new ones. Like everyone else has said, this game is dangerously addictive and sometimes I have to force myself to stop playing! I love the new mechanics that were introduced in the 3DS-exclusive levels. My only minor gripe is that like Nano Assault, the game becomes choppy at times, specifically when your pieces come tumbling down and splashing into the water. Not that it effects the gameplay mind you, since you've already lost when that happens, but it makes it feel a little unpolished. Other than that, the game is perfect! Can't wait for Jett Rocket 3DS — I just hope they make sure the engine can stay locked at 60 fps by the time it comes out.
Yeah. It's addictive all right. I keep trying to force a level onto my wife so she can share in my addiction. She won't cave... yet.
Although, when I did that with Mario Picross, she just un-apologetically commandeered my 3DS for two weeks.

Bought it. And this game is absolutely fantastic! The graphical style and soundtrack are beautifully simplistic, the gameplay engaging and addictive, the lasting appeal fairly long with over 200 levels + endurance, and a great difficulty curve. This is currently on par with Mighty Switch Force as my favorite eShop game thus far, but I'll wait to confirm that judgement until I finish.
Possible improvements:
I think a basic level editor would be nice
No online boards, only local
Some framerate issues

Screw you.
Really awesome game. I'm happy I held off on the Wii version and got this version instead. Though the 3D serves no purpose it looks really cool.

@SamuraiShyGuy, by holding off on the WiiWare version, you got a better game and a better looking game. Plus, you got it at a much better price too. That was a very intelligent decision my friend.
Yeah, I forgot about the money I saved too. Sweet!

Little off topic but you asked me to add you ages ago. I did and you haven't added back yet. (FC below)
Oh yeah! I think I wrote your FC down but forgot to add you. Thanks for adding me, btw.

I thought it was a brilliantly well polished title that was bursting with content and unique concepts in each world.
Graphically it's very good although there are many visible "jaggies" where the 3DS can't quite anti-alias the graphics. The 3D effect and the use of the touch-screen for precise and delicate maneuvers is fantastic, and the ambience is very relaxing.
It's impossible for me to get frustrated at the game because even failure can be amusing when the blocks come tumbling down.
This seems to be an unnoticed gem on the eShop with limited downloads compared to some other big name titles. I'm hoping that when it comes for hopefully another Nintendo Life feature on the eShop, Art of Balance TOUCH! gets featured as a must-have title.
Edit: I'm personally looking forward to starting over when I pickup my 3DS XL this weekend. The enlarged touchscreens should make for a better experience, as well as not playing on an inaccurate touchscreen, such as the one on my current 3DS.
I hope Nintendo gives this game some type of weekend sale, so more people will play it. I have the Wii Ware and 3DS version and they are both great relaxing games.
I decided to download this on a whim yesterday, and I'm enjoying it a lot (dare I say, more than Pushmo).
The graphics are absolutely stunning (especially considering it's a download title), has loads of content (with achievements ), and it's super relaxing.
