In case anyone is curious...
Keep in mind this is only $4.99, I would give this a 8 out of 10. Only issues are -I did not notice the ability to substitute players, am not sure if it tracks stats and the outfielders seem to mis play a lot of balls hit to them. Outside from that I am very happy how this turned out.
To be honest I have not gotten too far, but there are 3 levels. First game I gave up 10 runs in the first inning on medium level, but that was partially because of the weird fielding mechanics I was trying to get used to. I think you have to press the "a" button at the right time to catch the ball. For the brief period I played I enjoyed it, I can see this being a heavily played game in my rotation, not the best game ever, but got the job done and seemed like they did their homework designing it. It is an arcade type game though.
I really like the game myself but have already beaten it. The tournament gets harder and harder as you play but I really didn't have much of a problem beating the last team I was up 7 to 1 and they came back a bit on me. I ended up winning 7-5. All you have to do to beat the game is win 4 games so it is a bit short. I do love the hitting and the pitching its done very well. Also the player animations are pretty cool. It definitely has an arcade type baseball feel to it. Also the options for creating a team are pretty lengthy and you can pretty much put a team together based on strength or weaknesses you choose. Its a nice little baseball game but probably the shortest one I've ever played. For a 4.99 game I would rate it a 7

The game implements a mercy rule. If you are up by ten at the end of any inning that game is over. So you could possibly beat the game in about 30 minutes or less if your hitting well. The mercy rule applied to me in the first 2 tournament games. I haven't tried playing tournament since I beat the game but I did kinda create my own little home run derby, you play exhibition on easy and see how many homeruns you hit in the first inning. I hit 55 home runs. I also maxed out the score at 99 so even though home run derby is not an option in the game you can make up your own. I posted my stats to MiiVerse if anyone wants to try and beat me. Once I maxed out the score I quit hitting.
Also it is true the outfield does drop the ball a lot. The first 2 teams you play in tournament just cannot catch. But the last 2 teams are better and do catch the ball. In fact I don't think the last team had an error in my final game. This will definitely be an issue for some people as the difficulty in the first 2 games is rediculously low. It does get harder but not for long. Once you get used to the hitting you will be slapping the ball all over the field or over the fence.

Yeah I agree a real baseball game would be great, but I think the only shot we have is a Mario Baseball game, don't think anything else is on the horizon, I had my fingers crossed for rbi baseball 14, but I think that is bypassing the big N. As I stated before, I am not sure I get it as baseball is so popular in the US and Japan. Just glad we at least got this, it is a fun game, missing a bunch of stuff but for 4.99 I am ok. Actually if they could update this and change something's around I think this would be a great game, I am sure the reviewers will give this a low score though.

Yeah I think your right. I think it will be the difficulty and the outfielders dropping the ball that lower this games score. Personally I love the gameplay. I wish they had included at least a 30 game season with a playoff system which probably wouldn't have required all that much work on their part to lengthen the game. That would have been a big deal. Also maybe a homerun Derby with the ability to add stats. Who knows maybe this game will be the target of future update addons. It the popular way to distribute these days I could see them add on a home run derby or 30 game season easily and ask .99 cents. We will see on that Right now the game is a little more than a baseball game demo which happens to play very good and is alot of fun. I seriously can't see it get below a 6 on a rating it represents the game of baseball in a fun and entertaining way. I still give it a 7 because it is fun and entertaining along with being kind of addictive for a baseball game. But an addictive game which is short is another issue

Oh last thing. I'm kind of sad that I beat the game already cause it is addictive and fun

What's sad is you can beat a baseball game. It should be never ending in a way you can be off season gm and start a new season.
True that. You should be able start up again a new season. I would be willing to bet or have a sneaky thinking that there will be a season or home run derby add on. I'm still waiting for that horse racing solitaire game I'm all over that when it releases.
One more last thing. The game is good fun no doubt about that. There is some short term fun which leaves you wanting more

Glad a few people are talking about this. I can live with it being basic, but as others have stated I wish it had like a 30-game season. I wonder if it is made by a developer that is actually on Twitter and listens to suggestions. That is one great thing about indy devs, they listen to feedback and make changes. Blok Drop U's update on WiiU was very nice and was partially based on feedback he heard about the game.
I am hoping too they are listening, they actually got this right on many levels, more then can be said for the last gen of dsi baseball games ( not including mlb power pros, which I still think is the best handheld baseball game).
OK so last night I ran through the tournament again. I got an extra round. I have no clue how it happened. The team in the extra round is the Arc All stars. I gotta tell ya. They are good. I've played them 3 times and lost all 3 games. So if you have the game definitely run through tournament mode until you open up a game against the Arc All stars. The difficulty gets ramped up big time. Plus its a cool lookin all-star team. They are all dressed up in anime costumes. I guess they are characters from past games.

I even liked the game before the Arc All stars showed up. I have definitely got my 5 dollars worth and still have not beat the All-star team If its like the past Arc games once you beat the all-star team you can choose them to use in exhibition although the point of that would be just to wipe out every other team.

Can anyone comment on the local multiplayer? I might be able to ignore the crazy sexism of "girl" being a single body type if the mutliplayer was okay.

I haven't been able to play the Local WiFi. I have no friends who like baseball. Well I take that back my cousin loves baseball but he is 300 miles away. I just have nobody to local WiFi with. I wish I did it would open up a whole new world of play on 3DS. All I can tell ya is that I love the game of Baseball and this game is fun. The pitching/Hitting is done really well. Even the fielding which is a touch the A button to catch is fun once you get used to that. Blowouts however happen frequent. I'm glad they put in the mercy rule to end the blowouts.

@Windy Cool! I'll probably give it a try regardless, but I know at least one other person who I can convince to buy this one. I'm not much for baseball proper, but I miss me some pick-up games out in the backyard and this sounds like that's more what this is.
Other than the weirdness with the female characters, is the character customization decent?
