I've finally had the chance to get started on Fire Emblem, and I'm completely hooked again. Intelligent Systems have outdone themselvs yet again. Now that they finished Fire Emblem, Is there any chance we might see another Advance Wars installment? They're probably busy working on the Fire Emblem X Shin Megami Tensei cross-over, but since Atlus is helping them with that, you think there's a small part working on Avdvance Wars? I woul really like that. Share your thoughts!

Considering it's popularity, sure there's a chance. Though I enjoy GR:Shadow Wars just fine in the meantime.

Actualy, last I checked, Atlus wasn't "helping" with FEXSMT - They're the main developers. Intelligent Systems should be free to make another game at any time.

There's certainly a chance, the main devs for awakening said they definitely want to in an interview about awakening. Unfortunately they aren't the ones that decide what gets made, and since many didn't like the last instalment, days of ruin, they might not attempt another for awhile. And like Canas said FE X SMT is being headed up by Atlus IS and Ninety are pretty much just consulting.

I'm still surprised so many disliked Days of Ruin. I thought it was very good. Good story, humor, characters, and gameplay. Only complaint I ever heard was the color pallette, and I didn't really notice that make things worse. I certainly hope they don't stop the series just because of that.

I really liked it as well, in fact it was probably my favorite of the series. I'm sure they'll give the series another chance with awakenings success but maybe they'll treat it like FE12 and only release it in japan.

I've only played Dual Strike so I don't think I could cover the reasoning behind Days of Ruin's backlash (heh... Lash), but my guess is how much was changed in the game. From what I've seen in videos; the mood, the feel, the characters and their themes... I don't know, they didn't catch my interest into the series while the first two games did.

@Midnight3DS I finished Ghost Recon a long time ago, I got it with my 3DS. I turned oud way better then I expected!
I loved both Days of Ruin and Dual Strike, but DoR had more replayability thanks to online play and the custom maps. I truly sucked at Days of Ruin though. Did you play online?

I don't remember a lick of humor in that game. It was pretty much Advance Wars: Fallout Edition. Disease, misery, brutal warlords, scarce access to basic resources...

With that said, it was also my first Advance Wars game, so I quite enjoyed it, although the difficulty of some of the game's later levels bordered on brutal.

Ugh. Men.

I would love to see an Advanced Wars 3D. I would prefer it going back to the Dual Strike style and feel though. I enjoyed Days of Ruin and think it's a great game, but Dual Strike was more fun for me.

A person without a sense of humor is like a wagon without springs. It's jolted by every pebble on the road.

I'm hoping for it, would love to see it as a 3D game too. (as in no more 2D sprites) Either that or a Wii U version would be awesome too...
Anyways I can't really compare DS and DoR, Dual Strike I think the battles were more "chaotic" with the whole Dual Strike thing. DoR seemed to balance things out with the units (the changes were nice too), I dunno what else to put there...but I loved both games.

Whatever IS decides to do for their next game, I hope that their multiplayer mode will have all characters, since DoR's takes place in a different time compared to...well, the rest of the series' world. (in other words, if they go back to the original series...I WANT TO STILL PLAY AS ISABELLA!!!....There I said it, lol)

I got into Advance Wars with Days of Ruin, so I don't judge it as harshly as other fans might do. That being said, I played the remaining games and loved Dual Strike, even if two turns in a row is totally broken. I like the original story with Andy, Jake, etc. a little more, but if they announce a sequel to Days or Ruin, I wiill be just as excited. They definately left the door open for a sequel the way they ended it.
