Sure, but the point was about the possible battery life of a 3DSXL. But it might have a more efficient screen energy comsumtion-wise, eventually the only issue might be the 3D sweet stop, quite hard to maintain with the 3DS and possibly almost impossible to keep with a 3DSXL. But knowing that many users dont care at all about 3D, many others consider it as a quite annoying feature and many others consider it harmful ...

If you don't like the idea of an XL version then for you it has no advantages. Look at the DSi vs the DSi XL - no new features other than the larger size. If you don't like the size you won't like the XL so you don't need to buy it.
One way to fix the sweet spot is to use multiple view autostereoscopy, rather than the single view that the 3DS uses. Multiple view autostereoscopy can use up to sixteen images, rather than the two images the 3DS uses. So, if it used many images, you could move left or right past it, and you will still get the 3D effect.

Personally I think its gnna be called the 3DS Max with as much power, built-in content, and better tech put in something possibly a bit bigger or a bit smaller. The size wont change much.

Why would they make it more powerful? that would imply that it would have exclusive games that the 3ds can't play. if they do that i would lose all faith i have in nintendo. also, the sliders offer greater customization than buttons.

who said of making it more powerful(what im guessing you mean in graphics and stuff)?better battery,bigger screen,the system would not break easy if you drop it(more stronger),sliders can get stuck because this happened to me,circle pad pro built in
As for the rest sure... I've been hanging out for a 3DS Pro for a while, as much as I love mine it is getting a bit dated and large display and extra Circle Pad built in... Yes... Just don't make it as disappointing as the DSi...
The DSi XL was the best DS hardware version. It was perfect. The screens were wonderful.
Nintendo have said the 3DS is as small as it can get. It's innards are crammed full so making something smaller at this stage is not possible. But they can't make the screen any smaller. It either has to stay the same size while the overall size of the unit shrinks around those screen or they make a 3DS XL which incorporate the Circle Pad Pro which makes more sense to me.
They can make bigger 3D screens with a better viewing angle. Toshiba are releasing the first glasses free 3D TV this month so it's got to be possible.
I hardly ever play my 3DS cause it's so small. If they release a 3DS XL, I would buy it on release day, and buy a LOT more games, and play it much, much more!! I own over 350 DS games because I have the DSi XL (2 of them actually) and play them tremendously because of the visually comfortable large screens. The same would happen if there was a 3DS XL!
