Topic: 3DS Recommendations Thread

I just beat Dream Trigger and it took 11 hours with 77/117 achievements completed thus far. Some of the achievements look like they're going to take a while though, so I definitely think this game is a reasonable length, especially considering how fast-paced and intense it is. If I have any real complaint about this game it's that the bosses are too easy and all the mini-bosses are too similar and feel a bit repetitive. I give the game 8/10.

Thinking about getting Dream Trigger, but I have a question: What other shooter games is it like?

ridge racer is awesome. buy it. a really good racer and mario kart will take some time till it comes out i think.

i pla<ed ridge racer for almost 30hours now beating it 100%. but sadly no streetpass hit for time attack races

Played through it and i felt the same way about it. No highlights, not even humor really. It's not a bad game but there's really nothing exciting about it either.

I'm not too familiar with the Rabbids series but isn't what sets it apart from other Platformers is its humor? why on earth would you take that out then? lol the game sounds awful already.

Yeah it's a bit sorry looking, but i bought whatever i could get my hands on at launch, already pre-ordered Mario Kart, Ocarina Of Time, Star Fox 64, Kid Icarus Uprising, Resident Evil, and i'll preorder Mario Bros when it's available.

Well yeah, it should be funny. Maybe it was in an intro sequence which i forgot about. There's not even something funny when entering a new world. And this game is about time-travelling so there was a lot of potential.
In the entire rest of the game you just have your character. He can be dressed up with some funny costumes. Other than that he's just a shallow heap of a few polygons bare of any character.
Maybe they rushed the game to get it out soon after the 3DS launched. _{And when the first people found out they don't really like their Rayman 3D at all.}

I am going to Gamestop to pay off OOT. I might have enough money to get another game I just don't know what to get. I want a game that has decent replay. Here is what I am considering, Ridge Racer 3D, LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean, Nintendogs + Cats: Golden Retriever & New Friends, Samurai Warriors Chronicles, and Super Monkey Ball 3D.

I own Street Fighter 4, Samurai Warriors & Nintendogs but got a chance to play on Ridge Racer a couple of times this weekend. I was actually suprised by Ridge Racer and may pick up a copy cheap but I can whole heartedly recommend Samurai Warriors... plenty of replay value to it, loads to unlock in it and with extra DLC for it every week for the next 21 weeks it great value.

I'm playing Lego Pirates of the Caribbean, and I love it, but there's not a ton of replay value. Once I'm done with the story and have collected everything 100% (I'm done with the story for 3 movies already but still have tons of collecting to do) I probably will be trading it in.

Dead or alive dimension is one of best titles on 3DS at moment.

Also Puzzle bobble universe is alot fun if you can find it for around 15 pound. I really enjoy it, its very addictive tryin unlock all awards and its one of them games that u pick up play specially in endless bubble mode. :)

Last but not least samurai warrior chronicles

Because it uses streetpass and has downloadable content it light RPG / hack slash but its alot fun.

On other note:

SSF4 is good game to. The character models look great and streetpass figures are great edition.

Nintendogs french bulldog is other nice little game lots to collect buy and the photo option is great to. But can become quite boring after while.

Lots people know how feel about pilot wings resort but if can find it cheep then it keep u busy for little while.

What should my next 3DS game be? (Not including OoT.) I don't really like fighters that much...

@fishman100 If fighters aren't your thing (I totally agree) then sadly there isn't a whole lot worth actually buying. At least not until we find out what else is gonna come out and when in the next few months.

I think Monkey Ball is going to price dive down to $20 within a year, so I'd hold out on it. It seems pretty much all third party games come down in price quite quickly these days.

What should I get? StarFox 64 3D, Super Mario Bros 3D(If it is coming out soon. When is it coming out?), OoT Zelda, or Luigi's Mansion 2? I plan On getting Mario Kart when it comes out but in the meantime what should I get.

I know neither of these games are out yet but I am trying to decide which one I should buy when they do come out. I am trying to decide between Zelda OoT and Resident Evil. I have played a really really old version of Zelda before like over 10 years ago and have never played any Resident Evil. I am getting really bored with the games I have so I want a new one soon but I want whichever will have more play time and will be more fun.
