Shin Megami Tensei IV on temporary sale on EU 3DS eshop for £11.69 (usually £17.99). Is it worth it at this price? I've always been intrigued by the game but not sure it's really my thing. I like most RPGs but just not sure about this one for some reason. I've never tried any of Atlus' other games and I've heard mixed things about this one, even though it seems to be the most accessible for anyone new to the series.
Get it it's awesome, for that price it's worth it!And the game is brutal and unforgiven.
Debating whether or not I should get Star Fox 64 3D...I already have the N64 set up, but those new graphics in the 3D version...
I say it is worth it... But I am also a HUGE Star Fox fan lol
I actually bought it when I first got my 3DS then bought it again digitally
Like I'm not. XP I'd be buying it used for a little over $26, so that helps. It's apparently hard to come buy now, too, so if I don't get it tomorrow, I may never get it unless it goes on sale on the eShop...I guess we'll have to see what happens tomorrow. If I don't get it I might wind up buying Kid Icarus: Uprising again...so there's some incentive.

Why would you buy Kid Icarus Uprising again?
The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.

It was my GotY last year. Its worth twice that. It can be a bit hard in the early going but once you get past a certain point near the beginning it just all starts to make sense and it becomes easier. That price is great and it's an excellent add to your 3ds library.
midnafanboy I haven't played much but what I have played isn't bad if you can get past the frame rate. It dips a lot with tons of on screen action. Get it cheap just in case the frame rate bothers you that much.
Thanks for the response i might get it,it's like 15 bucks right now.

Ended up with Kid Icarus: Uprising, just so you know...unless I can get to Gamestop tomorrow? Probably won't happen, though, I just went on a huge (kinda mandatory due to reasons) shopping spree...I think I'll hold out and see if Star Fox gets included in one of the Throwback sales...
Decided to see what "worth a lot now" meant....0_0 0_0 Whoa...I can't say that it surprises me (KIU was always going to be a niche 3DS title, but hey it was the flagship title for the 3DS, for a time)...but wowza! Makes me want to go back and play it again.
Anyway, StarFox 64 3D is a blast to play, if you're at Gamestop tomorrow I'd just grab it. I'm not sure how exactly Nintendo is picking games for the throwback sales, but I kinda doubt 64 3D will be included. If you do want to wait there will most likely be a sale on it around the time Starfox U hits.

Thinking about getting in to the Ace Attorney series. Looking to start with either Dual Destinies for the 3DS or the original trilogy from the 3DS eshop. I've read some reviews for Dual Destinies and most people say that it's not at all essential to have played the other games beforehand. However, most if not all of these reviews were written before the originally trilogy was remastered for the eshop.
So I know it may not be essential to play the originals first, but now they are updated and easily available on the 3DS eshop, would you suggest playing these first then Dual Destinies or does it not matter too much?

Personally I would start with the originals as they will at least provide a back story to Dual Destinies. Plus yuo will have so much more to play. I only play the first and DD but I can say the first one was worth it alone.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
How fun is Ultimate Nes Remix?
I love all the classics, so I am interested in this. I'm just wondering if I should get this or just download the original games of the ones I like.
Picked up Super Monkey Ball 3D the other day. It's a launch title that you can still find cheaply on second-hand game shelves. The premise is still the same, you roll your monkey-in-a-ball through a course filled with obstacles, narrow paths, bumpers, pits and other hazards while collecting bananas and not trying to fall off. It's essentially like an old marble maze game, where you would tilt the toy ever so slightly to roll the marble in the hole.
I have played a couple of Monkey Ball games before, most notably Touch & Roll for the first DS and the original on GameCube. I was expecting a slowly but steadily growing level of difficulty based on those two titles, but instead found it to be really easy. Within a couple of hours you should have finished all eight worlds. Thankfully, this isn't one of those Monkey Ball games where they rehash some old levels from previous games.
On the upside, the 3DS ciricle pad turns out to be the most precise control setup for a Monkey Ball game you could wish for. Previous outings on GBA and DS had to rely on the D-pad. Because of this, the portable versions never had the same precision of control as the console editions had. The 3DS finally offers the same control quality on the go.
Instead of a whole host of mini-games like in earlier titles, there's only two here. There's Monkey Race, a Mario Kart-esque racer and Monkey Battle, which is not unlike Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Unfortunately neither of those will really keep you occupied due to a lack of depth and somewhat clunky controls. It's the main game's 80 courses you should buy this game for.
If you can find it cheaply, you should buy it. I got in for €14,99 second-hand. I wonder if the €19,99 eShop price tag is worth it, though, mostly due to the short length. Play the console versions first as they offer a meatier challenge. Overall it's still recommended, especially for fans of the series.

I've been thinking about picking this game up. I've seen it in various shops around town for a measly €15. It's easy to get cheap but I don't know if I will like it since I never played a StarFox game before.
Hi I'm new to the forums and this is my first post!
I have a long list of games for my 3DS that I want but sadly I lack the time and funds (mostly funds!) to buy every game at launch.
I try to hold off on games that have a reasonable chance of dropping in price, though I've realised that some actually rise in price due to stock shortages. From this list of games, which one would you recommend me i) playing and ii) waiting for a price drop or purchasing asap?
Bravely Default, Fantasy Life, Persona Q, Etrian Odyssey remake, Kirby Triple Deluxe, Mario and Luigi Dream Team and Virtue's Last Reward.
I probably won't have time to play any of these games till the summer as I'm getting Majora's Mask and Xenoblade at launch. I also have Wii U games to play!
Star Fox 64 was my first game on the 3DS, and the new controls/visuals improved the experience significantly for me.
Then again, I'm of the opinion that, aside from some early Atari 2600 games, N64 titles have some of the ugliest visuals in gaming history. It hurts to even look at the original Ocarina of Time now.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
What about Metroid like games. More Specifically Super Metroid(The greatest game ever created). Sorry, that needed to be said. I can't mention it without that.
Currently Playing:
