After just browsing the 'New Releases' on the eshop ive noticed that it says Xenoblade & Zelda Majoras Mask both have available updates to download question is to do these updates apply to people like me who own the physical carts and why hasn't the updates showed up in the Menu where the option is for 'Available Updates' cheers

If you download the Software Update for whatever game has an update available, it will take effect on your cartridge.

The first instance of this happening that I can recall was when Mario Kart 7 received an update months after it was released. Before then. I often wondered if a 3DS cartridge game could be updated. But that little experiment proved it could be done.

Thanks for letting me know about the Majora's Mask 3D - I'm going to download it here in a bit.

What I don't like is if you go into the 3DS eShop and scroll all the way to the left and click on Settings/Other...and then scroll down to Updates - even if there is an available update on one of my games it ALWAYS says "There are no updates available for any of your titles."

I know it lies to me when it says this because I recently updated Demon King Box (fun game, btw) and the only way I knew an update was available was by reading a tweet from the developer.

EDIT: I went to download the update and it says I've already previously downloaded it. I have no recollection of doing that but oh well~

Yeah i suspected as much such a bloody mess the eshop why not just have a tab showing updates for all games so you can check let alone the fact that on PS3/Vita you launch a game and an update will then start to automatically download and install. What other updates am i missing shouldn't be like this really.

An online friend gave me a free download code for Demon King Box a while back. Took me a while to redeem and play it but i was pleasantly surprised at how fun it was. I played it until the game started glitching and locking up. I was so devastated that i couldnt fully complete the game because of these issues that i went to twitter asking the developer if a fix was in the works. They responded with Yes....and 9 months later (sigh...) they released version 2.0 which fixed all the problems.

Yeah, Nintendo should remedy that Updates button. If not, they should remove it. As of right now, its pretty pointless.

Its currently on sale so i took the plunge however no update is available for Europe just yet by the looks of things according to Google, shall wait for the update until i start playing it then, considering people were complaining about the bugs and really bad translation then id say this patch elevates this game quite abit just gotta wait.

Circle Entertainment announced via its Twitter account today (2 months ago now) that an update will be released later this week for Demon King Box. The patch addresses bugs, adds buttons, and features a revised localization.
North America is getting the update on Thursday. No word yet as to when it’s coming to Europe, but it’s in lot check at the moment.
