Topic: 3DS eShop credit card region restrictions?

Does anyone have experience buying points for the 3DS eShop with a credit card that it not rom the region of the console? I'm wondering specifically about buying points on a European 3DS with an American credit card. Many thanks for any help!

I am not sure about American on European E-shop but I think it should work since I have Purchase Wii games using my European credit card on my American Wii and so far so good. Have you given it a try?

Haven't been able to try yet but I was thinking about ordering a 3DS XL from Europe and wanted to check on this.

So you are in Europe and are making purchases on the American Wii Shop with a Euro credit card?? That is interesting because I thought America was the one region that required cards to have addresses from this location.

The 3DS and the Wii U have the same problem.

You can´t buy if your card is from a different country than your system settings. The same goes if you put money in your account and then you change country because the money is kept in your origin country.

In the Wii this was different. I could put money in my country card (Mexico) with my settings in Mexico and then I change my country to USA and i don´t lose my credit, so I can use the Club Nintendo service to earn points. But i can´t do this in the 3DS or Wii U

I know you cannot buy from the U.S. eshop without an american credit card but not sure if other regions have the same restriction

You can however buy eShop cards instead
