I hear you. If my 3DS has one more Sudoku game on it I think the world may end. Oops.

All right, so I went ahead and got this because I like game collections, and wanted a downloadable version. I'll try to help out anyone who's thinking of getting it.

The game is just about exactly what I expected. I'd imagine it lands a 6 or 7 from the upcoming NL review. The games play very well, there is decent variety, but there's nothing outstanding. Each game keeps your high score (would have liked a Top 5) which is nice, and the game is perfect for short bursts, but I've also found myself playing some of the games for fairly long stints. For example, I like it's version of Yahtzee. I can't quite get a gold trophy on it, and it keeps me playing it over and over.

Speaking of, the trophies are a nice touch because it gives you a reason to play all "55" games. Many are repeats of others, such as different themed jigsaw and slider puzzles. I haven't even played them all, but I'll get to them eventually. I like having the goal of getting all the golds.

It really is a great game to have right on your 3DS without having to switch carts, and the $6 is just about right. I will definitely get my money's worth. It's a solid game that gets the job done.

As a side note, I was actually a little annoyed when I saw Joindots was putting this out right after I bought 3D MahJongg, but the MahJongg in the 3D collection is nowhere near as good the game solely dedicated to it so I don't regret my initial purchase.

I was kinda suprised because of that. I'm glad to know the mahjong in this is more simple, that way I won't regret my purchase of 3D Mahjongg

@Krim Thanks for the review! I like what you have to say about it, it sounds appealing! I'm still playing Puzzler World XL and Crosswords Plus pretty much every day, not sure I have time for another huge collection of games, but maybe later.. Gonna see what NL has to say about it too.

Wow, so I just played a game of Checkers on this thing and I've never seen rules like this. Every piece starts with the ability to move forward AND backward, and if you get a king it can travel over multiple empty spots to jump over an opposing piece. Weird.

Got gold on Yahtzee finally.

In your opinion, @Krimbatize, what score would you give this game?

I would probably give it a solid 6, almost a 7. Not a bad game, but not spectacular. I wanted to have a fun collection of games on my 3DS that I could play without switching carts, and I got what I was looking for. Some of the individual games (like the slider puzzles) are things I'll never touch, but the games that I have enjoyed I have put a surprising amount of time into. I like the 5 Dice game, there's a fun Match 3 game, and a Pipe Dream type of game. I've played the entire collection for just over 9 hours already, mostly in short bursts to kill time during a commute or whatever.

Going for a gold trophy on some of the games has been a fun challenge, too. Often, you'll beat a game easily the first time, but that will only be good enough for a bronze trophy. Then, they'll ramp up the difficulty a little and you'll have to beat it on the tougher level to get a better trophy. If you fail, they drop the difficulty down again. They do this for games like Sudoku, Connect Four, and a few others.

I think a price point of $5 would have been more appropriate, but it seems like it's the same version as the full retail release of the game, so getting it for $6 is still a pretty good bargain.

So, to sum up, if you're a fan of these types of games, I think it's worth the download. If you're not, there's nothing here that will change your mind.
