World of Goo 2 (Switch eShop)

We've got a huge soft spot for World of Goo. it was one of the first WiiWare titles, and we fell in love with it for its simplicity and charm. So we were delighted that, 16 years later, World of Goo 2 is coming to Switch. Revealed at The Game Awards 2023, a Partner Showcase confirmed that we'll be getting this on the hybrid console on 23rd May 2024.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (Switch)

Oh boy, it's finally happening. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is getting the HD remake fans have been begging for for years, and it looks absolutely stunning. This turn-based RPG has some of the best characters and funniest dialogue in the genre, making it a cut above the rest. Mario RPG fans will be eating over the next twelve months. However, we'll have to wait a while for an exact date for this paper-crafted adventure, as it's coming on 23rd May 2024.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance (Switch)

An upgraded version of an already great RPG? Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is more than just an upgrade really — there's brand new story content to jump into, which is reportedly meant to double the game's length. Add in new demons, mechanics, and some visual upgrades, and this looks to be the definitive version of the one-time Switch exclusive. SMTV: Vengeance launches on 14th June 2024.

Luigi's Mansion 2 HD (Switch)

Another handheld title — this time the 3DS — coming to Switch, Luigi's Mansion 2 HD brings Dark Moon back in HD glory. Demonschool (Switch eShop)

We only had a small taste of what Demonschool is all about in our preview in late 2022, but much like its big chompy demon, we're hungry for more. The Persona-like school downtime and the Buffy-esque feeling of being the only ones who can stop the demonic chaos invading our town is enough to get us feeling nostalgic for the 2000s, but the blend of snappy tactics, original visual style, and modern, witty writing has us looking forward to its release in Q2 2024.

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown Deluxe Edition (Switch)

The Switch has been lacking an Ace Combat game, but come 11th July 2024 that oversight will be rectified: Bandai Namco is finally bringing Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown to Switch in a Deluxe Edition.

First released on Xbox One, PS4, and PC back in 2019, the Switch port will come loaded with a bunch of old DLC, plus there are plans for new DLC, too. It's great to see the series return to Nintendo consoles following the GBA and 3DS entries, and in full-fat form, too. We've got fingers crossed for amiibo support to help liven up our craft with a splash of colour, as in the 3DS game.

Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus (Switch eShop)

Probably one of the most gorgeous-looking games coming out in 2024, Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus is a hand-drawn Metroidvania inspired by the likes of Hollow Knight, Okami, Celeste, Spirited Away, Demon Slayer, and tons more. Not only that, but Milton Guasti, Esteban Criado and Robert Maloney — who all worked on AM2R — are working on the title. The game reached its Switch Kickstarter goal way back, and we'll be seeing it on 18th July 2024 on Switch.

Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure (Switch eShop)

Stories of self-discovery usually follow a character going on a life-changing journey. But Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure says no to that, and instead of going on an adventure, you — as Jemma — are out there rearranging a world that's full of fear and stagnation. With beautiful visuals, thoughtful puzzles, and narrative beats, we'll be diving into this one in Summer 2024 on Switch.

Blazing Strike (Switch)

Oozing the effortless style of Neo Geo fighters, Blazing Strike is inspired by classic 2D fighting games, mostly from the kings of the genre — Capcom and SNK. After a few years of silence, we'll be able to dig into this blend of pixel art fighting with modern sensibilities in Summer 2024.
