@tourjeff yes - fallout new vegas
Re: Review: Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage (Switch 2) - A Great Port Of Sega's Deep Yet Approachable Fighter
Having fun learning this but is anyone else having trouble finding online matches? Thought it wouldn't be an issue with cross platform play.
Re: Review: Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen (Switch) - Red-Hot Nostalgia In A So-So Wrapper
A Switch port of Pokemon FireRed & LeafGreen... Nothing special other than Pokemon Home compatibility. (Game Freak should've put FireRed & LeafGreen on NSO)
Re: Review: Kena: Bridge Of Spirits (Switch 2) - Old-School Platformer Offers Sumptuous Visuals & Heaps Of Charm
@Space5000 Let me post the link. Or try to anyway.
Re: Review: Jimmy And The Pulsating Mass (Switch) - The Best EarthBound-Like You've Never Heard Of
Just from the title and having dealt with cancer in my personal life of a family member I’m guessing this game is about this boy coming to terms with a tumor and the very thought shakes me, gonna pass on this one for now but will add it to the wishlist for when I’m ready
Re: Review: 101 Shark Pets (DSiWare)
Shark weak is an hilarious tagline
Re: Review: Super Mario Bros. Wonder - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup In Bellabel Park - Inessential Bells & Whistles
I don't understand the hate for this expansion at sll. I don't remember the Luigi's Mansion 3 expansion being shat on purely for having a multiplayer expansion dlc.
If that pass the bomb game came out as a stand alone local 4 player indie game I'd happily pay like £8 for just that
Re: Review: Super Mario Bros. Wonder - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup In Bellabel Park - Inessential Bells & Whistles
@JohnnyMind hey sorry for the late reaction I thought I had already responded.
I think I could world by precious comment better.
I mean that accessibility (all kinds of) should be free to be honest in a game. In this case the assist mode, that NintendoLife wrote an article came to fruition in this update. But you need to pay for those accessibility options. THAT is scummy in my opinion, see also the second comment in this comment section.
The fact that they, the accessibility options were already in the basegame but locked to Yoshi & Nabbit make it worse. So a kid or a friend who is bad at gaming can’t select Peach or Luigi to play this game with.
I am not talking about the extra modes/challanges in any capacity in my comments. Nintendo can asks money for these extra things if they want to.
Also hiding better graphical upgrades behind a paywall is weird and my stance on that will not change.
Re: Review: Brook Fighter Starburst Arcade Controller For Switch 1 & 2 - Form And Function Combine Beautifully
I love that it lights up. Looks very cool.
Re: Review: Marvel Maximum Collection (Switch) - A Decent Nostalgia Cake With A Konami Cherry On Top
Ill probably get this...heck id get a physical copy since its Xmen on Arcade.
Its sad we weren't able to get the Genesis Xmen games too. That would have made the collection better.
Re: Review: Kena: Bridge Of Spirits (Switch 2) - Old-School Platformer Offers Sumptuous Visuals & Heaps Of Charm
@michellelynn0976
Ah sorry I think I meant that I was asking if you remembered where VGC said it? Wasn't trying ask if there was other sources outside.
Though if you dont remember where you saw it from this one, then oh well. lol
Re: Review: Kena: Bridge Of Spirits (Switch 2) - Old-School Platformer Offers Sumptuous Visuals & Heaps Of Charm
@Space5000 I apologize, that's the only one.
Re: Review: Family Mini Golf (WiiWare)
i like the anime style games
Re: Review: Kena: Bridge Of Spirits (Switch 2) - Old-School Platformer Offers Sumptuous Visuals & Heaps Of Charm
@michellelynn0976
Do you have more of a source? I have having trouble finding anything online about "vgc" (video game chronicles?) confirming that.
Re: Review: Kena: Bridge Of Spirits (Switch 2) - Old-School Platformer Offers Sumptuous Visuals & Heaps Of Charm
@Bizzyb Yes 💯
For me it's a very telling Sign that former "$ony exclusives" are now trickling their way to a Nintendo system , with all bells and whistles.
"Switch 2 game drought , where are the AAA games they said??" from within their Solid snake cardboard boxes 😭
Re: Review: Super Mario Bros. Wonder - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup In Bellabel Park - Inessential Bells & Whistles
This might be unpopular but I hate this game had it on switch and traded it in which I don’t often do with Nintendo games can’t believe the price they are charging for this as people have said they got away with doing this to Wii u games cos not many people played them but this was a big seller on og switch can’t believe they expect people to pay such a hefty price tag for what is a minimal upgrade
Re: Review: Kena: Bridge Of Spirits (Switch 2) - Old-School Platformer Offers Sumptuous Visuals & Heaps Of Charm
I wanted this game since I heard about it. So happy it's coming to switch 2 and that's it's as good as I was hoping!
Re: Review: Brook Fighter Starburst Arcade Controller For Switch 1 & 2 - Form And Function Combine Beautifully
I would be interested if it had a stick also I really do appreciate that it is actually designed to go on a lap. (If anyone has a good option with a stick real arcade parts and designed to go on lap. If it is super expensive need Xbox and Switch 2 support if it is cheaper just one is okay.)
Re: Review: Super Mario Bros. Wonder - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup In Bellabel Park - Inessential Bells & Whistles
@JimNorman I feel like the fact that there is no online matchmaking for these online multiplayer portions really should have been highlighted. I just wasted $20 on this thinking I’d at least be able to play with people without requiring coordinating with real life friends. I, like many, dont have those.
Re: Review: Marvel Maximum Collection (Switch) - A Decent Nostalgia Cake With A Konami Cherry On Top
@Tom-Massey Thank you, I also assume it supports 6 players offline, I will buy the game on Monday, test with 6 controllers and report back.
Re: Review: Brook Fighter Starburst Arcade Controller For Switch 1 & 2 - Form And Function Combine Beautifully
…um, where’s an arcade pad with a joystick nowadays? I can’t use the fancy button input ones. Don’t have enough dexterity.
Re: Review: Marvel Maximum Collection (Switch) - A Decent Nostalgia Cake With A Konami Cherry On Top
@Krlozgod
It’s a great question and sadly one I can’t answer! Didn’t have six people to test it within the limited time I had to cover the release.
If it helps, when choosing OFFLINE the option for 2, 4 and 6 players is still there, which I would assume means you can couch with that many players. But it’s only an assumption!
@KingMike
I don’t believe Maximum Carnage got a Japanese release.
@SBandy1
Really? Honestly I found Maximum Carnage only slightly superior to Seperation Anxiety, and I honestly didn’t think it was very good. I’m quite surprised by all the positive nods for it in the comments. It’s rather dull overall.
Re: Review: Disney Dreamlight Valley - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - A Lovely-Looking Upgrade, But Still Not There Yet
Kind of mad that this was announced as a free to play game but then they just decided to charge for it anyway, huh?
Re: Review: Brook Fighter Starburst Arcade Controller For Switch 1 & 2 - Form And Function Combine Beautifully
So we don’t make sticks anymore
Re: Review: Marvel Maximum Collection (Switch) - A Decent Nostalgia Cake With A Konami Cherry On Top
Avengers arcade not getting online multiplayer is disgusting. I really hope they patch that. Also, the lack of being able to customize controls in-game is pretty frustrating.
This collection is for novelty & nostalgia purposes only. Beatemups have greatly improved in the current era. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone that only plays modern beatemups.
Re: Review: Brook Fighter Starburst Arcade Controller For Switch 1 & 2 - Form And Function Combine Beautifully
Lefty/righty versions? Put the directionals on the right (where the cursor keys are ⌨️) and I’m pretty sure I could melt a biøtch.
Re: Review: Brook Fighter Starburst Arcade Controller For Switch 1 & 2 - Form And Function Combine Beautifully
@Olliemar28 There's a full stop missing when you can add it, "allowing you to fold the rest of it over and protect the vinyl and buttons while out and about".
Re: Review: Brook Fighter Starburst Arcade Controller For Switch 1 & 2 - Form And Function Combine Beautifully
Thanks for the review, if I ever get one of these controllers most likely I'll go for something like the mentioned 8BitDo one (way less expensive, compatible with all the platforms I own and also wireless) - that said, glad to hear this one is so good, happy for those going for it!
Re: Review: Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage (Switch 2) - A Great Port Of Sega's Deep Yet Approachable Fighter
This game became my favorite!
Re: Review: Marvel Maximum Collection (Switch) - A Decent Nostalgia Cake With A Konami Cherry On Top
First the Disney Afternoon Collection, and now this?? What fantasy universe am I living in?
Re: Review: Marvel Maximum Collection (Switch) - A Decent Nostalgia Cake With A Konami Cherry On Top
Thanks for the review; it's basically what I expected. I'll wait for a sale. The only game I want to play in this collection is X-Men and I don't want to pay $25 for it. I certainly don't want to pay $40 to get a physical version; although I expected LRG to double the digital price like they are for Darwin's Paradox.
Re: Review: Disney Dreamlight Valley - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - A Lovely-Looking Upgrade, But Still Not There Yet
It's worth noting that the Switch 2 version now closely resembles every other platforms versions of the game. Yes there are bugs, but the same bugs are on PC, Xbox and PS5 too.
@whirlwound there are Tron items in the game but no characters. So far DDLV has stuck to animated characters only but they might explore live action characters in the future.
Re: Review: Super Mario Bros. Wonder - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup In Bellabel Park - Inessential Bells & Whistles
My most respected sources for reviews are NintendoLife and Digital Foundry, and the review of this expansion proves me right. Well done guys 👏
Re: Review: Marvel Maximum Collection (Switch) - A Decent Nostalgia Cake With A Konami Cherry On Top
The only thing that would make this better would be having the Spider-man Arcade.
Having said that, I do have several of the games, Spider-man X-men arcade revenge is tougher than it should be(never could get past the Wolverine second stage) Sound and music was good on it.
Love Maximum Carnage on Snes, will look forward to trying the Mega Drive port.
Captain America and the avengers I enjoyed the arcade, not a fan of the SNES version, had the gameboy which I beat. They didn't mention the NES version on this review, it's not a arcade port, but it's own adventure, while it takes 2 avengers out (Vision, Iron Man) You get Cap and Hawkeye. It's a good challenging game. Ordered a physical copy and might get a digital version at some point, but I like to own a physical copy of the arcade game.
Re: Review: Marvel Maximum Collection (Switch) - A Decent Nostalgia Cake With A Konami Cherry On Top
I’m waiting for the physical release, which won’t ship until November-Dec by LRG’s estimate. Ugh, the wait these days for physical is so long! Anyway, I imagine you have to give +1 or +2 to the review score if you have arcade or rental-store nostalgia for these games.
Oh how I struggled to stretch my quarters as long as possible in X-Men and Cap & The Avengers back in my teen years. Storm was the superior X-Man - her pimp club gave her great melee reach, and her tornado could wreck the entire screen (even in the 6-player cabinet) when positioned correctly. Meanwhile in Cap, I would avoid melee danger and just rain laser death from above using The Vision.
I had some fun with Silver Surfer, too, until I sold off my NES (needed $$ somehow for the SNES, right?). You really need turbo to survive long in that game.
So I’ll be waiting patiently to revisit these games at year-end. It’ll be a treat to clobber Magneto (MASTER of MAGNET!) and Whirlwind (YOU will be the one escaping!!). 😁
Re: Review: Marvel Maximum Collection (Switch) - A Decent Nostalgia Cake With A Konami Cherry On Top
I was pleasantly surprised by this collection, which is much more carefully crafted than other collections from the same publisher. It includes scans of the console game manuals and boxes, original artwork, options to enable cheats in some games, and a choice of different versions for some games, such as Japanese/American, 2- or 4-player, and so on. It also includes online multiplayer for the X-Men arcade game. In my opinion, it's an excellent package worth the price, but I understand that ratings for individual games depend on personal taste.
Re: Review: Marvel Maximum Collection (Switch) - A Decent Nostalgia Cake With A Konami Cherry On Top
@KingMike I guess the review doesn’t specify which version, but I do remember it having a red cartridge. The review also said it was never released in Japan.
