Well-built levels, authentic presentation, tight controls, and high difficulty all combine to make this a supreme and focused experience, and one that we can easily say is well worth your time. Mechanical Head Studios has set a high bar with its inaugural release.

A first run is maybe a handful of hours, but the thirst to retry is so strong it’s almost hard to move on to each new stage. Add the challenge of finding all the cranes and hidden items, avoiding resets, and setting faster times, plus unlockable characters with different moves, and it's a full and generous package. Launching at $4.99 or your regional equivalent, weighing in at a lean 600MB, and having a demo on the eShop, Lunistice is simply a must-try game.

Prodeus is the kind of game that knows exactly what it wants to do and executes that vision flawlessly. It’s not complicated and it’s nothing you haven’t seen before, but every inch of this experience was clearly crafted with passion and talent. The intense firefights, expansive arsenal, metal music, and sprawling level designs all come together to make Prodeus feel like a game that’s just the right mix of retro and modern. This really is the best the Borderlands universe has ever been, and a game that everyone should experience at least once.

Evan and Roland's antics across this game's sprawling world are stuffed full of great characters, exciting combat and adventuring, and a kingdom-building mechanic that's a delight to get to grips with. It looks and sounds every bit as good as its predecessor and, although the story might be a little more hit-and-miss here, we were completely hooked into this one from beginning to end. This is a sumptuously crafted adventure you won't regret diving into.

Rogue Legacy is a simple take on the tried-and-true roguelike formula, but it executes what it sets out to do exceptionally well, making for an endlessly replayable and enjoyable action adventure that no fan of the genre will want to miss out on. A high difficulty level, funny writing, tight controls and rewarding RPG mechanics make this one an effortless recommendation; the design of the game makes it easy to play in short bursts or long sessions, which means it's a great fit for the Switch. If you enjoyed Dead Cells, Castlevania, or any 2D sidescroller in that style, you’re almost certain to have a blast with this one.

Abzû is certainly a standout release on the eShop, offering up an experience that breaks from the norm of goal-based gaming in favour of something that’s more focused on simply existing in a world and enjoying all its little intricacies. Robust single and multiplayer options make Pokkén Tournament DX one of the most impressive competitive fighters on Switch, although the lack of mechanical depth may put off serious fighter fans.
The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season (Switch eShop)

Whether you played this back in 2012, or are completely new to the series, Telltale's The Walking Dead: Season One is a masterpiece of video game storytelling. It features some of the best voice-over performances you’ll find on any gaming platform and sets the stage for a grand, multi-season odyssey of tragic proportions. However, this is also a satisfying and poignant collection even if you never play the subsequent episodes. Even if you lost patience with Rick Grimes and TV series adaptation of Robert Kirkman's comic books, this remains an incredible interactive adaptation of Kirkman's world of walkers.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a fantastic experience, a great big celebration of everything Star Wars. The upgrades to the series' core gameplay here — the combo-focused combat, flashy space battles, boss encounters, over-the-shoulder shooting action, and cover system — all combine to make this the best Lego Star Wars has ever felt to play. Throw in a humongous open-world setting that's bursting at the seams with secrets and collectibles and you've got an absolute smorgasbord of all things Star Wars to dig into. Yub nub.

If you picked up all 77 of these then that would be your life for more than the next year as you ploughed through them all.
I actually have the vast majority of these and the ones that I have played are all excellent I can confirm. Only a handful there or so I don't own and that I don't really want. I need to get back to a few as well in the bowels of my backlog. The higher rated games like these tend to find their way higher in the queue. One that I missed and that sits in the bowels of my wishlist is Signalis. I think I'll give that a download. Run and gun aint my genre but with games this highly rated and this discounted I'm tempted to give this a download.

@CheekyZelda As far as I know both are possible and either option has its advantages and disadvantages, I recommend checking out guides - if I recall correctly there's at least one also here on Nintendo Life - and see which one is better for you!

Gorogoa and Abzu coming home. These sales always tempt me with some games but at least the prices are great.
I had been considering it for a while, since I really enjoy a good stealth game, but also normally 3D like Splinter Cell or Aragami. After reading several comments recommending it, and the great reviews on NL, I finally got Mark of the Ninja: Remastered. I'm convinced now that I'll have a great time. Just need to play through the backlog first. But yeah, 5 bucks, and I had to use my gold points, wouldn't want to see them expire.
I also got Vectronom, which seems like a memory/rythm game, again positive comments and the demo was really fun. I think it's at 3 bucks now ...
