Publisher Microids has announced that TiGames' jumping-and-punching Metroidvania F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch is coming to the Switch later this year! This announcement comes a few months after the game was rated for the console in Taiwan.

Called a Metroidvania that "punches above its weight" by our friends over at Push Square, F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch puts you in charge of a gritty war veteran bunny who gets wrapped up in conspiracies after he must find out why his friend was arrested.

With your bunny Rayton at the ready, you'll be able to swap between three different weapons and will encounter hordes of enemies in this combat-focused Metroidvania, where difficult platforming and beautiful dieselpunk visuals await. It'll be interesting to see how the visuals and performance translated to the less-powerful Switch, as the game is powered by Unreal Engine 4 and uses physical-based rendering to capture the feel of realistic movements in the world.

Microids has said that F.I.S.T. is due to launch in Q3 later this year. We'll let you know as soon as we have a more specific release date. In the meantime, check out the gameplay below and let us know your thoughts on the game!
