Update (Wed 12th Feb, 2020 15:30 GMT): PQube has now officially confirmed that Cat Quest Pawsome Pack is indeed on the way to Switch. Pre-orders are now live at GAME in the UK and Amazon in the US.
Original Article (Fri 31st Jan, 2020 12:00 GMT): A number of retail listings have seemingly revealed a Cat Quest + Cat Quest 2 Pawsome Pack for Nintendo Switch.
Unsurprisingly containing both Cat Quest and the more recently released Cat Quest 2, this physical offering is slated to arrive later this year. Two UK retailers have opened pre-orders for the bundle - 365games at £24.99 and Base at £24.85 - and both say that the title will release on 22nd May.
The following description has also been provided:
* This pawsome pack includes Cat Quest and Cat Quest II for a multitude of catventures - with a reversible cover!
* Brand new story set in the world of Felingard - and beyond!
* All new co-op gameplay. Play as both cat and dog, either alone or with a friend!
* New weapons types – Master swords, staves and more to become a fur-midable fighter!
* More spells bring even more furry judgement to your foes. * New passive abilities, whose attributes can be mixed and combined for endless paw-sibilities!
* Exciting, and varied dungeons filled with new traps and obstacles, making every pounce into the unknown a fresh experience!
* Em-bark on a litany of side quests, each telling its own story and expanding the lore and universe of Cat Quest!
* Telling the tail of two kings, brought together against their will, Cat Quest II brings together an unlikely partnership as they reclaim their thrones.
* Flurry of languages! The original Cat Quest is localised in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Thai, Japanese and Chinese!
* Even moar languages! Cat Quest II has all of the previous languages as well as Dutch, Portuguese, Russian, Korean and Turkish!
Both games are good fun - although we'd say the sequel is the best of the two - and are purrfect options for anyone looking for a beginner's RPG. Buying both games from the eShop would cost you £22.98 at the time of writing, so the prices offered by the retailers above are pretty decent.

Day one for me then!
Wow. 😗
Looks very cute.
2 games in 1 cartridge and all physical, right ?
Neat, I'd like to add this to my collection.
I've had a passing curiosity in these titles, but a double-pack at that price is very tempting.
Funny how such a game gets a cartridge release but many big games (e.g. the outer worlds) not
I have been meaning to play these games.
Bring that collection here to the US. It will be a day one pick up.
@mariomaster96 Because they are the cheap ones. These big companies don't want to make any cost... so only digital so they don't have to pay for cardridge nor a booklet or a box... it's more money (and yet they dare to ask same price as it would be as a physical release, they can't justify the pricetage some companies)
Well, this is a pawsitive development.
Dman. If I waited I could've just gotten on cart. This was from snippy and cooking to now catquest. ugh....
I'll probably get this. I've been meaning to buy the first one for a while. Might as well just wait for the double pack.
I already have the previous physical release of just the first game. Interesting strategy to make that totally obsolete.
Nice if it had both games on there might buy it for my nephew.
@Alucard83 I would say it is less money as they lose sales from not having a physical. Many big games loss thousands of sales and some even in the hundred thousands even to millions. Digital is not accepted by many like myself. If I'm buying digital you better make it worth it. I am not paying 60 bucks for a digital game to basically rent it and never actually own it compared to a physical. I'll just get a different game then.
@retro_player_22 do you not read at all but make useless comments.
Playing through Cat quest 2 now it’s pretty awesome 👏 as for the first one when it came out originally. Supremely entertaining games
@mariomaster96 I find it extremely odd that they sell physical copies of Tetris99. It comes with a free trial to NSO but just seems odd.
@Gravitron : The physical edition of Tetris 99 includes the offline DLC which is overwise sold for US$10/AU$15 and a 12-month single user subscription to NSO (not a "free trial"; the fact that it is a paid package means that anything within that package is not free).
The physical package costs the same as buying the 12-month subscription and DLC separately.
@JasmineDragon : Enough kitten around with lame puns.
I'll be skipping this release as I can't play it with a mouse.
@Tourer145 Do I need to play the first one before playing the 2nd one? They say the 2nd one is the better game, so I'm just wondering if I could just skip the first.
@investor9872 The second game is only better because the first one was very short. In the second game you get your money's worth. The first one was lacking in content. Skipping the first game would make no sense though as you'd miss the story and only about 5 hours of gameplay.
SKTTR. Thanks for the reply, Mate!
Yea and I got pawned shoud've waited.
@Silly_G Actually, they make peripherals that allow keyboard and mouse use on the Switch. That's a bit of a hassle if you ask me.
I can see why people would like it, though.
@mariomaster96 The Outer Worlds is getting a physical release.
@mesome713 i know but back then when i wrote this comment the cardrigde release wasn't annonced yet
@mariomaster96 lol, o wow, I didn't know this was old. My bad.
Purfect. I dig the demo of Cat Quest 2. Meow'll be picking this up fur sure.
Nice.
Glad I held off when they were on sale digitally.
CAT GANG
I 100% beat the first game on pc and it was a blast, really want the second one soo i might get this.
Damn!! I JUST bought the first one (physically) for Christmas. I couldn’t just wait for this inevitability, could I.? Ugh, that’s gonna be a tough re-sell...sealed be damned.
