I really need to get back to Three Houses. I only finished half of a playthrough and moved on. But at this point I almost want to just restart the game, maybe go Golden Deer this time.
If they could fix the slowdowns in some parts of the monastery, I'd be glad.
I've been waiting for this! Between this and Pokemon Home I'm gonna miss sleep!
Pretty awesome update.
And downloading... now.
So excited for this!!
Great. Let's see if this can divert my attention from the GBA Fire Emblem game.
Is the bug fixed when dead characters are still seen in the school yard and you can interact with them? Defeats the whole point of playing in classic permadeath mode.
@Pirlo_ze_sniper That's what so vicious about it. Instead of disappearing, they keep wandering around to remind you and themselves of their failure.
@Pirlo_ze_sniper ha ha does that happen? I’ve been playing on classic mode but using the time turner to ensure I don’t lose anyone. I guess you could think of them as severely injured so they can no longer go to battle
Nice! I’ve been waiting for this to be released to start my second playthrough of the game - I went Blue Lions the first time, and I’m going to go for Golden Deer now. This and Rune Factory 4S should hopefully tide me over until Animal Crossing releases next month.
Excited but disappointed at the same time. I'm currently in part 2 and these notes say that the new units can only be obtained in part 1 which means my goal of having everyone recruited in my file is completely destroyed.
Happy about the new costume for Anna and the return of the Trickster class though.
I’m maybe 2/3 of the way through this game, and it’s incredible. Loving the story branch I picked. I will pick up the dlc when I do a second playthrough.
Enjoying the game a lot, excited about the expansion! Currently playing my 2nd and 3rd run (you might understand what I mean lol). This will be a nice break on my days off this week.
I kinda want to continue my 2nd playthrough but I've been starting to hate the monastary sections more and more.
It's pretty much killing all my enjoyment of the otherwise awesome game.
Is skipping all monastary sections a viable way to play through or will it severely handicap my powerlevel?
@dBackLash I suggest maybe only use monastery time for meals/tea to keep student morale up (so they can still level up skills during class), or to recruit from other houses. That way your team builds won't suffer too much.
Something I actually hoped to be added is the option to have units wear their monastery outfits in all the mounted classes now, in addition to all the footed classes. I usually have Ingrid’s final class be the Falcon Knight (or perhaps Dark Flier now), but she doesn’t have her cool green timeskip outfit available to wear when in either of those classes. It can only appear in battle when she’s a weaker Pegasus Knight or Cavalier. I guess I dislike the generic outfits for all these classes.
@Flamesiegmund Finally, someone else who shares this sentiment. I've been struggling through each route since I compulsively play each game as "Fashion Emblem." I was hoping they would un-gender lock some classes (like war master) for similar reasons. Doesn't seem to be happening either.
@JasmineDragon with that disrespectful dork who calls you 'Teach' all the time?
@kenyowa I would play the hell out of Fashion Emblem: Three Houses. I spend far too much time trying on outfits in every RPG.
@Joriss I mean, in Black Eagles I got a disrespectful Goth mage who mocks me condescendingly and a psychopathic ice queen who literally wants to rule the world and keep me around like some kind of pet. A disrespectful dork calling me Teach might actually be an improvement.
@JasmineDragon Well I like the fact that Edelgard doesn't mess around and get things done, and let's just say the goth got into a 'little accident' during my early battles so I didn't had to deal with him much.
I just love this game as its the gift that keeps on giving. The DLC has been a fairly OK purchase so far but really looking forward to it now with the 4th house element. I am also on my second (Golden Deer) and 3rd (Black Eagle Crimson path) play thru. I am playing GD at home and BE on the go on my Switch light. I started GD as a new game plus and really like how you get your renown and statues from the last game and can purchase prior earned skills. It allows you to super develop your characters as you can purchase all their prior achievements and focus new studies on skills you skipped previously. My last wish would be for a few new classes. One I would like a Heavenly Savant master class that focuses on White Magic and Sword. We have no magic user fliers at all so something like a Pegasus Cleric or Wyvern Mage would be cool. I wouldn't even mind if some of the extra magic user classes restricted that they could only use black, white, or dark magic to keep them balanced. Lastly I think a Monk class would be cool that Focuses on hand 2 hand and magic. I so hope we get a follow up game on Switch as I wouldn't mind seeing some of the oldies ported and remastered, but I would rather get another game using the new engine. Maybe they could make the Monastery part sort of like old Suikoden where you built up and unlocked the keep while recruiting different players. So maybe move the focus a little off of the individual character building (keep it I loved it) and more to team/army building and management.
@JasmineDragon Better off finishing the playthrough and doing a newgame+ unless you do not like playing through a second time. The story changes based on the house.
Is this completely it for additional content in this game? Usually, I think they always add little tidbits and stuff after the release of the last major DLC. I know I talked about it in my last post months ago, but I really wish they included a completed unit battle appearance setting. I want to convince myself to try out those mounted Mastery classes, but doing that forces me to go with the class outfit, when I’d much prefer the monastery appearance, specifically the war attire. Like, Rodrigue, Arundel, and Nader get unique battle models as a Holy Knight, Dark Knight, and Wyvern Lord, respectively. I wish Marianne, Hanneman, and Edelgard could do the same thing. Wear something that suits them while in those classes; not be forced to use that large, bulky, default armor which, I think, doesn’t really look right on any of them.
