If you love nothing more than running around in Pokémon Sword and Shield's Wild Area, looking for all sorts of monsters to catch, you should notice that things are starting to get a little Christmassy.
Starting from today and running until Christmas Day, the present-giving penguin Pokémon Delibird will be much easier to find in the Wild Area. If you're still yet to claim one for your Pokédex, or if you're looking for a great opportunity to find a Shiny version or one with perfect stats, this is that time.
You'll find Delibird in increased numbers both in the Wild Area itself, and in Max Raid Battles. If you decide to take on a Max Raid Battle Delibird, you'll also receive more Candy rewards than usual. Lovely stuff.
Fittingly, we shared a story yesterday on Operation Delibird - a fan-made system where players send rare and valuable Pokémon from the game to new players on Christmas Day. It's a wonderful idea, so make sure to read up on how to get involved if you haven't already.

@graysoncharles That's impossible...
i'm unfamiliar with these events but wouldn't this be annoying? try to get something else but a bunch of delibird would be in the way? promise of the hidden ability wouldn't mean a thing either other than ability capsule not working.
Of the 500 Pokémon that got cut, they just had to let this feathered turd in.
@ancientlii Yeah, it is kinda annoying, waging your bets on raid battles doesn't seem like a good strategy anyway, breeding is much faster this way.
So now we can't get Gigamax Snorlax?
I encountered Delibird so much in Pokemon Silver back in the day, that it just gives me anxiety seeing that Pokemon
I remember that Pokemon appearing a lot in the Wild Area a lot already. yawns
@TDRsuperstar2 nah, that still has boosted odds too through Jan, along with gmax Butterfree. There’s just multiple simultaneous events.
@TDRsuperstar2
From what I understand he’ll be around but not as common.
@TDRsuperstar2 yes you can hes all over think man
@Harmonie Yeah, it would be more of an event if Delibird wasn’t already a common sight in hail/snow in the early parts of Wild Area. I am pretty sure it was hailing on release day.
