No Heroes Here is a new release on Steam today, developed by Brazilian studio Mad Mimic Interactive; the good news is that the press release for that arrival confirms it's another game heading to the Nintendo Switch.
Utilising retro-styled pixel visuals, it's a castle defence game in which you have to gather resources to create weapons, for example. It's clearly designed with co-op in mind, but solo play is also confirmed; details and a launch trailer are below.
No Heroes Here blends Castle Defense-style gameplay with crafting and platform elements presented in a beautiful 2D Pixel Art style. The game includes a single player mode along with online and local co-op play for 2 to 4 players. The game was named to The PAX 10 list at PAX West 2017, which recognizes the ten best Indie games at the event based on gameplay and overall fun-factor.
It's due on Switch and PS4 in 'early 2018', so there's not too long to wait.

This looks fun! Wonder how well it will play with single player?
Looks quite interesting, though, at first glance at the headline, I read something about No More Heroes and was getting excited.
Looks fun enough. But tower defence? I just can't get into that.
I'm very happy to see some people in the industry are still trying to keep local co-op gaming alive. I might have to pick this one up.
I really enjoyed Castlestorm on the Wii U, so I will keep an eye out for this one. It looks much more rudementary in design, but hopefully it’ll play well.
Also, I wonder how well the 1 player mode will play. Looks more suited to multiplayer.
I'm tired of the endless pixel graphics.
Another coop game ? Do they think I'm made of friends ?!?
The idea seems pretty fun, and I'd like to see more of that
Seems quite fun, although I'd have to see how single-player works. I don't really buy multiplayer-only titles, as the vast majority of my playtime is by myself.
I’m glad we’re getting lots of co-op games - I just wish I had someone to play with. Forever alone. That said, I hate tower defense games so this is a pass from me.
This looks like overcooked if it only had 2 recipes. Looks like it has potential, but if your only making cannons and hot oil? then this game does not have enough to be interesting over a long period of time
@justin233 Well, unlike many other indie co-op games out there, this one apparently has online so ... finding people to play with should really not be much of an issue. I bet you could do it right here in the comments section if you wanted.
Ofc if TD is not for you that point is kinda moot. Just saying though ... ^^
@Ralek85 Ah - I must have missed the part about online. Thanks!
Another time waste that looks like it came from 1989. Better just stream Netflix on my phone before playing that.
So sick of 8-bit style games....
