Last week we reported on the news of One Piece Unlimited World Red - Deluxe Edition being confirmed for Nintendo Switch in Japan. With the original on 3DS, Wii U and other platforms having been localised it seemed like a good bet to also arrive outside of Japan, and now Bandai Namco has confirmed just that - for Europe so far, at least.

An overview reveal trailer was posted in Japan just recently, and now Bandai Namco's European YouTube channel has published a localised version of the trailer along with some further details, confirming a September release in the region.

Re-discover the original adventure of Luffy and his pirate crew that encounter and befriends a cheerful yet mysterious raccoon named Pato who possesses a shadowy power to create anything drawn onto a leaf. In order to help their newfound friend, Pato leads the crew to the Forgotten Island where they get kidnapped by a wicked pirate named The Red Count and Luffy must fight to recover his crew from the enemy’s grasp and find out exactly what The Red Count’s evil plots are. The adventure will come loaded with incredible content thanks to the inclusion of more than 40 DLC’s.

ONE PIECE UNLIMITED WORLD RED - DELUXE EDITION will be available digitally for PlayStation 4,PlayStation 4 Pro and PC on August 25th 2017. Nintendo Switch - both physically and digitally on September 2017.

The wording suggests that it'll be a download-only release on PS4 and PC, albeit it'll arrive earlier, while it'll also arrive in stores on Switch. Two player co-op is also re-confirmed, and apparently players can rely on a framerate "up to" 60fps, though we'll see how performance stacks up when it actually arrives.

In any case it's good news to see another title confirmed for the Switch, in this case also packed full of the DLC that came to the original. We'll keep an eye out for the equivalent North American announcement, too.
