If I could I would only use my Wii for online play since i don't have any friends owning a wii. Everyone i play online with comes from England or Usa. For me wii speak and online games is make it or break it for continuing my support of Nintendo.

The only reason i bought the conduit for example is the online functionality and the reason imo for mario karts success is the online, same goes for onslaught, water warfare, tetris party and so on.

Nintendo should really start developing more online games and more wiispeak functionality and that includes all the developers out there. Online isn't a shortcut for success but good online is.

Very true in al aspects. I really want developers to bring out more online games with WiiSpeak and NO FRIENDCODES like the 360/PS3.

It'sa me'a Humphrio! :D

I agree with the friend code malarky, Fair enough if it was one per console, but per game!? Ludicrous, one reason I don't play online...because I'm too lazy to type all the different codes:)

As said earlier, MKW works very nice. Gamers don´t even have to be online at the same time to see each others miis. That seem to be the case with all other online games that I have. It´s also very nice to see if friend is online and being able to join him. It would be beautiful if I in "free" battle could send other players fc requests (players wich I´d like to meet again) Just as you can send requests to friends friends in private rooms. One other thing that I miss is to see "Last time we met date" and "Last time online date" data in the friend roster. Last, Why the 30 friend limit???

To see how bad Wii online is, just do three easy things!

Step one: Install Steam
Step two: Play a multiplayer game through it.
Step three: Wonder how Nintendo went so wrong.

just a thought... is a mii technically not a profile? would it be feasable to use that profile to make the friends with and to store their data. for example instead of friend codes, which are really annoying, (like zane i dont know many people with wii's online, its even rarer for them to have the same game.) can the mii (with profile) not be given a mii code which can be exchanged with friends, allowing them to be in your friend roster for ach game. (it'll probably be alot harder than how i'm thinking it)

Online games are what i play for, not really one to host a wii party and getting bored of a game after the first completion, i had a taste of several 360 online games an got hooked to the masacre of killing people and hearing them scream throught the headset. I do believe several games have got good online capabilities, i enjoy CODWAW online as its always full of people to play online against, however there are a few glitches, one level if its done right you can become invisible an not be killed, not fair really. i do enjoy a private game of conduit, however its really difficult to get a half full game due to the friends codes restrictions, it would be good if i could invite a friend or two into a public game, maybe chose your own teams. but i do enjoy it as it stands. my wii speak doesnt work so i cant comment on that. ive played brawl which was laggy so i gave up. mario strikers and mario kart were both good online games but not played them in a while.

Overall i do enjoy a good online game, however a game with local co-op missions and local multiplayer would be good enough for me to buy. i dont see the wii as a single player consol, to me its all about the multiplayer aspects and the getting people together, a family time.

Wii Code:
Conduit Code: 5156-0995-5450

Guitar hero world tour:

unknown codes on request or as soon as i get round to it :)

i played nba live 08 online when i got it, and play mariokart online a lot. i think that games should offer the same game modes online as they do on single player. that way people are more likely to play online rather than some rubbish game mode that is pointless.

I use the wii mostly for online play & great games such as mario cart & pes 2009 handle really well (no lag) so very impressed & also no charges unlike xbox etc

I have to say, it's actually pretty good, despite what people say. Then again, I don't own an PS3 or Xbox 360, so if I get an PS3, my opinion might change.
