Topic: Wii Motion Plus and the Classic Controller

I have a question. I am thinking about getting 2 Wii motion Plus peripherals and Wii Sports Resort. My question for all of the Wii Motion Plus owners is can you plug the classic controller into Wii Motion Plus and use it for the downloadable games or do you have to remove Wii Motion Plus before you can use the classic controller?

Good to know I was not sure if it was compatible or not

Why would you need the Motion+ attached if you were using the Classic controller, unless you just don't want to keep attaching/removing the Motion+. Anyhow if you can plug the Nunchuck into it then i see no reason why the Classic controller wouldn't work also.

I really wouldn't keep M+ connected if not actually using it; apparently it has some additional power draw so it'll run down your batteries faster.

@sean Where did you go?

Well it would be a matter of convience. If I get Wii Sports Resort usually once I finish I'll start on some VC games. It would be a pain to keep removing Wii motion plus everytime

I'm just gonna leave it plugged in as you have to remove the whole rubber jacket each time, not to mention unlock it from the back and then unhook it. I haven't noticed it draining my battery any faster so far.

Plain old gamer :)

got check out the draining at the end of the week with wii sports. if there isnt any extra suckage i wont remove it ever again.

Surely you'll have to remove it to get your batteries out -- or are you going jacketless as well?

Right now I'm keeping the M+ (for Tiger Woods) on one remote at all times, since it's a pain to remove / replace it with the new jacket and all, then I keep another remote sans M+ for all other purposes. Once Sports Resort hits, I'll probably keep 2 remotes with the M+, for multiplayer, then keep a third without it. That is the one drawback of M+: dealing with the fact that it's the most obnoxious to attach and remove of all remote add-ons.

I'm just going to toss the condom. Didn't need it before, won't need it now. That'll surely remove a lot of the hassle.

I never liked the jacket before either, but unfortunately M+ just looks horrible without it. No exaggeration--it completely ruins everything that is sleek and well-formed about the Wii remote, with weird tabs sticking off it, holes, and a generally broken form as far as how it fits together with the remote itself. With the new jacket, all of that is covered up and the two pieces are actually brought together to look like one unit, instead of two things sort of duct taped together. The grip is also kind of useful for the longer form, particularly for a golf game like Tiger Woods.
