I can get Wii Jog really cheap. But is it worth it? I looks fun and I was rolling on the floor laughing when I watched the video's on youtube. But is it something or something to be avoided?

That's what I'm afraid off, but it could be a fun way to loose some pounds, stay fit and it looks like a fun way to play a game. Besides it's not really expensive (3 Euro's = 300 Wii Points in Holland). I'm curious if it would work with WiiWare games too.

It's not part of Wii Fit nor a game in itself. It just is a stepping counter (don't no the term in English) in which you can hook up your Wii Remote and the nunchuck. Like wiichamp425 said, it works with every game that uses the nunchuck for movement.
Do not buy it, it looks like you have to go pee. Also it will get really anoying. Vality Sensor anyone?

I bought it, and it really works and is a lot of fun. It basically works with all games that uses the nunchuck for movement. You hold the analog stick of the nunchuck in the direction you want to move and then start jogging, the character onscreen will do the same. I haven't try a lot of games yet, but my impressions of the games I tried with it:
Max and the Magic Marker (WiiWare): Works fine and without any real problems. I can get a bit tricky with precise platforming.
NyxQuest (WiiWare): Works great, but in this game you need to drag a fireball along with you which can't touch the walls or other obstacles. But when jogging, the thing is all over the place.
LostWinds (WiiWare): Moving works fine, but the game flips when in dialogue.
LiT (WiiWare): No problems, works great.
Mario Kart Wii: Mario Kart has a Remote/Nunchuck combo and you use the nunchuck to move your car left or right. Believe it or not, this is a lot of fun. Taking corners is really satisfying this way (haven't tried any drifting yet) and like the commercial said, it really had me running a bit faster. I also hadn't remind myself that you only have to run in the corners.
I really like it so far and will try some shooters next, keep you guys posted. This will do wonders for my Backloggery. I can finally work on my Masters. "Finished game with Wii Jog".
