Just a few minutes ago I was exiting from Zelda:TP on Wii Menu and got the infamous "system files are corrupt" message. I restarted WiiU and everything seems fine, but searching on the internet I found some scary stories of people sending their WiiUs back to nintendo and receiving a new one, without anything on memory. Anyone has seen this message on Wii U before? Should I be worried about it? I live in Brazil, but my Wii U was a gift from my sister who lives in the USA, so using nintendo support may be somewhat tricky.
Is it possible to reinstall he latest Wii U firmware?
I don´t know. Maybe formating the system, but then I will lose everything too. I do not own much downloaded apps/games, but there are a lot of save games for both Wii and Wii U games. And Wii U ones cannot even be transfered to the SD card.
I guess I will just hope this is a "one time thing", as it happens only once for some Wii owners (as mentioned on older Wii threads).
