I currently have some Wii points left and I would rather not spend them to buy anything for my Wii only to later transfer them to my Wii U in less then a week and a half. Do you guys know if I can transfer my points over to the Wii U or do I have to spend them down to zero on the Wii?

...Wait does this mean the Wii U is going back to a point system? o.0 (or are they going to convert the points into money or something...)
I don't think they'll be going back to points but the credit on the Wii will be able to be transferred. They already stopped selling points cards if you had noticed so they have been "converting" between dollars and points for a while.

Any idea if we can transfer just points from the Wii to WiiU and not transfer anything else? I'd like to have my Wii still be of use in another room with my games on it intact, while my Wii-U takes up the main quarters.
