Topic: Recording Footage (Capture Card)

All I can tell you is that you have to keep on going. Many start, but never see it through.

As someone who started a new channel for the Wii U just over 4 months ago (mid-Jan), I can tell you that you have to be prepared to deal with "gamers". I put that in quotes, because they're the ones who parade around the internet and forums waving their 500+ IQs and opinions on flags while riding unicorns made of gigabytes.

Or in other words, you'll eventually run into trolls, lol My batch came from my April Fool's prank, and even now, they still find the time to report comments made on my videos as Spam (effectively removing a portion of them, surprisingly), and also a few guys who just downvote videos for the hell of it. If you keep going, you will run into these people, and my advice is the first line I started out with: keep on going!

@ZyroXZ2 Your channel, along with many others, are channels that I've been thinking about modeling mine after. Thanks for the advice. I could be posting new videos right now, but I don't have a means to record yet.

It's totally fine. I understand what you mean about school, because I still have two long weeks left (with three days of finals in there. 12 views in a week or so isn't bad? Speaking of gameplay, I'm trying to get my Dad to let me use his camera and tripod, so I should be good to go in a week or two. Thanks for the help!

Well, someone already mentioned, but there are some options. The Elgato Game Capture HD has some small stutter quirks, but is a VERY cheap way to get started!

I know about this one. It's too expensive ($150) for me, though. Are there any component video recorders?
