Topic: Pikmin 3 Pangaea Ultima

I always knew the Pikmin series was based in a post-apocalyptic Earth, but what I didn't know is that the landscape was actually based on a real theory - Pangaea Ultima. I have but two questions. Where exactly are the continents in that map? (because I'm too lazy to research, like is that still Antarctica at the bottom?) and how did the geography at the end of Pikmin 2 change into this. From modern day Earth to Pangaea Ultima?
