Hi, I just ordered a Gamecube Controller Adapter off of Amazon UK a couple days ago (when they still were offering pre-orders) and I live in the USA. I was wondering if they were region locked? I know that isn't the case with most accessories, but I was just wondering. I've talked to many people, and they have said that the adapter should not be region locked, and one guy tested out his USA adapter on his European wii u, and said it worked. However, Nintendo Life just posted an article that said that the adapter WAS region locked. So I just want a little clarification on this topic, so that I know if I should cancel my pre-order. Thanks!

Dangit man. Should I cancel my pre-order or what? Nintendo hasn't said ANYTHING about this. So far, the only people to say no is Nintendo Life. Everyone else says that because it is an accessory, it is not region specific. I would like to know if Nintendo Life actually tested this themselves.

Personally i wouldn't.I am not sure where TW got the impression they were region specific? On Play Asia it has what region it's from but then so do the controllers.I think you will be fine.
@SanderEvers Like I said,I didn't think so either but I can understand why the OP is confused as that article said that while the controllers will be fine the adaptors region will need to match your system.

Yes quite! I just really wanted to play this with my family this Christmas. (Which is why I've held off on purchasing Smash Wii U so far.) Thank you all for your opinions! That Nintendo Life Article just scared the life out of me lol. I guess I'll keep my order and just see what happens. I really wonder though, where N-Life got their information from.
