Topic: How to use my Wii U controller on PC?

I've looked up multiple tutorials. A lot of them are geared towards people who already have a general understanding of bluetooth devices and things like that. I have no idea what that is or how to sync my Wii U controller to a bluetooth device.

I have a wireless mouse and wireless keyboard with a USB thing plugged into my PC to use those. Is that considered a "bluetooth"?

Is the bluetooth device only needed if you want to play wireless? Can I just plug in my Wii U controller into the PC with the USB port ? I want to download Skyrim on Steam and try using my Wii U controller. I also thought maybe I could play other games with it but setting it up seems like it's hard and I hate spending time trying to trouble shoot things and then I usually end up giving up because I have a low tolerance for things like that.

Can anyone help me? I have Windows 7.

Is it the gamepad or the pro controller you want to use?

Pro Controller. I have three of them and don't ever play my Wii U anymore so I want to make some use of them. I know they can be used on a PC but unlike XBOX controllers, you can't just plug and play. There is crap you have to download and things you have to tinker with.

Okay, then you need Bluetooth.

Right click on Computer, click on Properties, click on Device manager. See if you have Bluetooth under B

If you don't have it you'll need an universal Bluetooth USB adapter, any other USB adapter for mouse or keyboard i.e. probably won't work... Most of them are RF and not bluetooth anyways.

Once you have Bluetooth working just follow this step-by-step video, you'll find the links you need to download in the description:

@Samus7Killer

When I loved the Wii U, one of the things I liked best was multiplayer. All the other controllers pretty much suck, so I got the Pro Controller because it's easily the best one.
