So glad they're saying the Wii U is next gen, unlike others that are saying Wii U is "behind".

@Erica_Hartmann: I read it as they consider WiiU "next gen" because it is listed right along with Xbox One and PS4 within the parenthesis.

And they listed it last... When listing examples of two kinds of things in parenthesis people usually list examples of the first case first. In this case it seems they simply left out "current gen" consoles from the list?

Technically, the Wii U is behind. Hopefully that won't cause too much of a problem for Nintendo, but time will tell.

This is fantastic news for Wii U owners. Now the lack of compatablitity with the Wii U won't be a problem for devs when it comes to releasing games for the platform.

That doesn't solve the whole "lack of demand on the platform" thing, but this is a good step.
