Topic: chating on nintendo wii u browser???

Hi, i bought my nintendo Wii U somedays ago ad i'm really enjoying it so far, except for one annoying thing: i cannot chat on the gmail browser chat, because the chat window has no send button neither the Ok nor Enter buttons on the gamepad. So, i can receive chat messages, i can see them normally, but when I try to answer, my message just lingers on the send section of the window... and I cannot send it.
Is there any trick to bypass this stupid and annoying issue??? thanks in advance...
