Has it ever taken you what seems like forever to beat an NES game ? I loved, and still do, the original NES and play it almost every day. I bought Gyromite not long ago. A lot of fun...maybe MORE fun without ROB...Anyway... For the last week, I've been playing Back To The Future. A really underrated game, if you ask me. Finally, after almost 30 years, I actually beat the game. I've done it a few times on an emulator, but somehow, it's more satisfying to beat the game on the actual hardware.
When I was a kid, I always stopped after the stage where you're playing guitar at the dance. Either that, or I never got past that stage. I can't tell you how happy I felt after finally beating this game.
I love the AVGN video about the BTTF game, though I don't really understand where he's coming from with it. Sure, it doesn't really have much to do with the movie, but it's a good game.
Something maybe pretty obvious....I knew that you threw bowling balls in the game, but it wasn't until playing the game on a big HDTV that I was able to see that, what I thought was a pile of teeth or something, was actually a set of bowling pins.
I'm not entirely sure what you're asking, since it just seems like you're rambling. So I'm just going to post the game that took me the longest to beat and call it a day:
Digimon World 3. I spent over 400 hours grinding every digimon to level 100 before I bothered to fight that game's equivalent to the Elite Four. In fact, I never did beat them. I believe my last save was in front of the sign-up desk to prepare for my fight against them...
