Topic: I need help from someone experienced with modding game systems.

I have one of those R4 cards that allow you to add rom files to an SD card and load them on your DS. My issue is when I'm scrolling down the list of games I've added about halfway down the list My DS locks up and no further games are selectable. All games above that point play fine but it always freezes after I reach the same spot on the list and I'm forced to reset.

Any idea what could be causing this or how to fix the problem? Any help is appreciated.

I dunno about DS modding, but you should know that 3DS modding is incredibly simple and doesn't require any weird hardware stuff. So I'd just do that instead. I assume you have access to a 3DS or 2DS somehow. You can get them really cheap at this point.

@Zeldafan79 I think you should be more specific in the thread title. This is an R4 card issue, I'm guessing, rather than a generic hardware modding issue.

Okay I'll do some more checking around. I did this whole process of setting up the R4 card for my DS using a guide I found online and I did everything the guide said to the letter. I'm not a technical wizard or anything but I read that it could be a corrupted save or something.

I will choose to trow away R4 cart and buy original 3DS machine to play original 3DS and NDS games.
You will be fine by playing with original games.
