@bimmy-lee Yes I tried to put some weight on top of the cartridge inside the slot. It worked but the screen was bad.
Well I opened the console and cleaned the pin connector as well as the cartridge. I have only one. Now it works when I put the cartridge and move it little to the left. I guess it makes better connection that way because it ran without any issues.
Anyway the NES mini it is for playing and the rest for collecting

That’s a good strategy. You can just buy carts of games you really like that way. I’ve had mine since it launched, and I don’t have a big game collection. I rented a lot back in the day. If you like Punch Out, cart is the best way to play, preferably the Tyson version, but only for the cool factor of fighting Mike. There’s just enough lag in the VC versions to make them kind of a mess in my opinion. I don’t have a NES mini to know how thatvone plays.

A lot of people end up buying replacement pin connectors, as the old ones are getting pretty finicky. I can't personally attest to this since I've never had the need to do it, but it's worth looking into.

@1UP_MARIO So if I want to buy one of the console and I want to play SNES + NES + 4-5 genesis games I should buy the NES mini or the SNES mini.
I read that both are the same inside (the exact same parts) but the controller support to the SNES classic is better since it has more buttons?
This is my final question as I have gathered my games for all systems 50 SNES games + 59 NES games + 5 Genesis games and that is all.

@Zuljaras
NES fan here. I live in the states, so CRTs at thrift stores are dime-a-dozen, but after going through them like popcorn I finally decided to go the upscaler route. Will probably grab some CRTs again when I have more room.

The NES looks decidedly worse than most other consoles on HD screens as the best output is composite. But with something like the Framemeister you can get a respectable image out of it. There's plenty up cheap clones you can grab that will play the original carts and still look okay at 720p. I use one for capture but otherwise play on my original NES through a Framemeister and it's perfectly playable and enjoyable. Adding scanlines helps a lot to clear up some of the quality issues.

One thing I'll add, I would highly recommend the "Blinking Light Win." Its a mod ($25 US I think) that replaces your old pin connectors, but it's not a simple replacement, its a new mechanism that bypasses the issues with the old "push down" system. Had mine in my NES for over 2 years and never once had a game not instantly work.

I've also never seen a fake NES, but I guess it's possible. You are more likely to come across fake games. I see a lot of Panic Restaurant and little Samson fakes, but they're usually pretty obvious.

Cheers!

@Zuljaras they are both the same and you can use a Wii/wii u classic controller. Go for the Snes mini. Actually if you can get both. Go for it.

@1UP_MARIO but will the snes mini controller work for nes and genesis games?
Why would I need wii/wiiu controllers?

Zuljaras

1UP_MARIO

@Zuljaras yes they work.

You don’t need it, just another option if you have the controller already

@1UP_MARIO ahh nice. I didn't know that the nes/snes were capable of playing so many games.
It will be a blast revisiting all those games!

@1UP_MARIO isn't the N64 just be the same hardware but in different shell? I watched that the nes/snes can play n64 games as well. They just need to put more memory on the board.

Although Hyperkin makes a decent/above average Super Nintendo HD & Genesis HD clone their NES HD one is not. Stay Away From the Hyperkin NES HD.

@Zuljaras same hardware but hopefully better emulation than the Wii u. It’s more of a I want to unplug my original n64 and have a mini with great picture quality with scanline options and all the filters.

@Tasuki - Yeah, those are cool. I’ll get one or something like it some day when my NES kicks. I like the Analogue machines, but the price is a bit steep when I already have a functioning NES.
