My GC controller's rumble feature no longer works. I've tried it with multiple games, with rumble turned on in the Options menu. Is there some kind of button combo I may have pressed to shut it off at the controller, or is it time to buy a new one? This is a Nintendo-made controller, not a knockoff. Thanks for any help.
If that's the only thing wrong with it I'm guessing the motor that powers the rumble feature died. You could always try to open it up and tinker with it but closing the GC controllers once you've opened them up is a pain.

Yep I agree sounds like the motor just died, at least thats what happened to my friends GC controller with the same symptoms as yours. He opened it up too and as Fox said its a pain to get back together. Might as well get yourself a new one there. Thankfully I dont have that problem since all my GC controllers are Wavebirds.
Yeah it must be like certain computers are. The companies make it as hard as they possibly can to fix something on your own. I think it's terrible how some companies are so money hungry. Hey, also is there any way to shut off the rumble feature on a my WiiMote. So I don't burn out the motor while using it when I really don't want to be?
