Topic: Bionic Commando

I just picked up this game for PS3 at Gamestop cause for some reason (I think it was part of their Huge Weekend Sale they had Advertised) it was only $20. I know most the reviews gave it very average ratings and I was like what the heck I know its a hard game and I love that so I dropped the $20 on it and I just put a few hours into it and I really dont get why it got such bad ratings. I doubt I will go for all the collectibles for Platinum trophy but I will beat it on Commando (hardest setting). Maybe its one of the updates that helped the swinging mechanics or something its just a LOT better than the reviews gave it. ALOT better. Anyone else got this game?

I want to pick this one up too! I heard about the sale and it sounds like a really great deal! I love Bionic Commando: ReArmed and I believe this one was done by the same developers. I hope I can still find a copy!

Havent tried it out yet. Ill beat single player before I crank up Multiplayer. Only prob I see with the game is if your going for all the achievments one is to get ALL the collectibles I think its 150 of them, and if you miss one in between save points wich aren't very well defined you will have to start the whole game again so Im not really worried about the Platinum on this one prob. As for gameplay, I assume the updates fix most of the problems wich is the problem with game reviews on Next Gen systems, the updates fix problems and the score dont reflect it.

I loved the original NES BC (and the arcade game that preceded it, though i only played it a few times as i rarely saw the cabinet anywhere) and the Rearmed re-make, and have been curious about the new game. But there's been a lot of very mixed reviews, ranging from high praise to complete bashing. Probably will rent it at some point and see for myself before i'd buy it.

Its a buyer in my opinion and I own a ton of games. Its not a cash in its a game made for the core Bionic Commando fans. Its remade very well and its really challenging. Achievments are well designed with exception to collectibles. It honestly feels like Bionic Commando and Spencer feels like he has iron boots on and its just great. If you like hard games and a sniper with a sniper rifle is actually hard to get close to to kill then this is a game for you.
