1080i is actually 540 scan lines at a time... if it supports 720 scan lines already, it shouldn't be much of a problem to output the 540 scan lines too (that's why most 720p TVs support 1080i too.... is mostly for marketing reasons, since there's not much of a difference between 720p and 1080i, other than 720p being sharper)... and I'm not getting in that PR BS, low res textures = bad for a game that supposedly runs at 720p...

@DarkG: You're the only person I've ever heard say Killzone 2 has low-res textures, so you'll understand if I don't take your word on that. I don't really care either way, since it's not a game I care to play. I also don't care because even though I've involved myself in this graphics power discussion, graphics are NOT my main focus in gaming. Far from it. That said, Uncharted ONE is the best-looking "realistic graphics-type" game I've ever played, and I play both PS3 and 360. So on my money, the PS3 is better graphically.
But as I said, it doesn't really matter. In fact, it has nothing to do with this thread's topic. So we should probably stop the off-topic debate now.

Do you hate the ps3? I can say that killzone is in 1080 and it looks okay, i just dont see why everyone says this game is graphically nice.I've seen better. But killzone sucks, its generic as shit the controls are horrible i can go on about how bad i hate this game, i'd rather play barbie on ds.. I agree gears of war 2 is the best looking game on the 360
