I waited too long for clues on the Dec quiz. Oh well, I guess I’ll have a fresh start in Feb . It’s a bit mind boggling to be at number seven locally just for completing one quiz.

@Bunkerneath It's the same for me. I can't pick this up from work either.
I did take a look at the last one, and the only one I definitely knew was Beneath a Steel Sky. Amiga-era point-and-clicks? That's right in my hitting zone.
No big intro, the image quiz is back! After a two month break we start again with lots of new riddles and I hope there'll be lots of participation from this forum.
We begin with a classic, those zoomed up pixels... no matter if we call it "Minimal" or "Retro Pixel", you know what to this will look like. The game mix crosses many genres and platforms, and there's everything from "decades old" to "not even released yet".
Getting the difficulty right is always really tricky... I really thought this round is very balanced, but now the average is still very clearly below 10 points. I'll do better next time!
Anyway, there's 40 people in the quiz now (two from here), and you have exactly one week left to join. Let's go - here's some fresh clues:
1) The games 4, 15, 16, 18 and 20 were released in this decade. 2) Title 17 is the only first person shooter in this round. 3) Number 20 is a Metroidvania released on Steam and one console. 4) Title 8 is a franchise with one remarkably bad 3D game. 5) Game 13 is a point and click adventure that was never released on console.
Alright folks, the first round of 2019 is coming to an end this sunday. At the moment there are 60 participants (three from here), which is a really good start. However the average score is still below ten points.
As these are the last clues, may I ask everyone to man the keyboards?
1) Number 14 is not Scooby Doo! 2) Number 19 is not Dragon Ball! 3) Capcoms Ghouls'n'Ghosts was inspiration for number 18. 4) In game 20 you control a robot. 5) Picture 25 shows a thief.
The first quiz of the year ends with 75 participants, that's a great number - thanks a lot!
Due to a really tough nut in the last row (number 25!), I really didn't believe it would happen, but it did - every game got found out, even though no one managed to get a full score.

This is the first time ever that the Top 10 has more English than German users!
Not every videogame childhood starts with a console. Maybe it was the family PC, where those who knew the secret words ("CD" or maybe "DIR") were able to launch magnificent games. To honor this, let's have a round focused on titles that were started via MS DOS... I made sure to pick a lot of classics, so that also pure console users have plenty of chances to score.
Due to the topic the selection relies mostly on games from the 90s, which is hopefully okay for most contestants. After the feedback regarding difficulty from the March quiz I made this round a bit more friendly - You all have fun and good luck!
PC master race incoming - looks like most are enjoying this round! The quiz has been up for just ten days, but already over seventy people are digging out their 90s memories to try their luck on these DOS classics (none from this community).
It probably helps these games are actual classics and not just some japanese obscurities.
Nevertheless - here are some clues for you!
1) Watch out, some titles might yield only half a point if you don't get the series entry right... I'll decide that by the end of the month. 2) Game 2 and game 3 are classic western RPGs. 3) With the numbers 4, 6 and 8 you are looking at realtime strategy games. 4) 12, 13, 14, 15... here you control spaceships, either for a few sequences or the entire game.
Ladies and Gentlemen, it's time for the final sprint. Tuesday night this round will end, and do you really want to miss out on the 2nd-biggest-of-all-time quiz? More than 90 people have joined so far, one from this community.
Here are the last clues for you:
1) Number 5 is not "Crazy Machines" 2) Number 9 is not "Gabriel Knight" 3) Number 12 is not "Space Hulk" 4) Number 18 is not "Little Big Adventure" 5) Number 25 is not "Theme Park"
And as a last comment - with the titles 1, 2, 4, 6, 7 and 19 you have series where you need to name the correct part to get the full point.
I didn't expect this result... we just casually had the biggest quiz participation of all time - hundredandtwelve!
Once again I have to say thanks, or did you all have a gaming PC in the 90s and were just waiting to finally put that knowledge to use?
Average score has gone way up compared to the last round, and a total of TEN users managed to get a full score.

So then, a celebration: Applause to Andy1977, Gerhard S., fL0riaN, Aurelio, Splunge, wiede, Calastellio, Deadly Engineer, J.R. and Pasu... you all have FULL POINTS and won this round!
Two weeks ago the Nintendo Game Boy turned 30 years old, and to honor its legacy this round is dedicated to games for handheld consoles - but only on devices 100% made for video games, mobile phones are excluded.
Of course this topic means that Nintendos many handhelds are heavily covered, but I kept a balance: One half of this quiz is for games where Big N didn't supply the hardware.
After the round for MS-DOS classics this month might not be as easy, as a few obscure titles made their way into the lower half of the picture... but I am confident you can do it.
Well then, hope you brought enough batteries or an AC adapter to charge on the go?
@MysticGengar, can confirm your entry is there! And don't worry about posting your answers open at first, it sometimes happens when someone is new to the game and isn't a big deal.
