Topic: Do you like GTA4 and why?

Pros:
*Good Graphics
*Very fun Physics and ragdoll effects making for a very fun experience and very different experience each time you turn it on
*Good story,ok sure its not exactly oscar type but hey...it is very enjoyable. Also i love Niko's attitude. just badass
*Cool online mode,it does lag ill admit but when it works its very enjoyable and fun and like 15 modes to choose from online such as Deathmatch,FreeRoam,Race,Mafia etc
*Music,ok in some parts the music does suck....like for example i hate the rap musc with a passion but with rock i like it,im glad they have one AC/DC's Songs in it but....there is a con which ill explain.

Cons:
*No custom Music?....what?.....oh come on!!....I have 120 songs on my PS3 and id love to hear them on the radio.....they could have made a custom radio for us to customise what music should play on it but nope....however a patch can fix it but no news on that.
*Framerate issues,ok i can understand....excellent graphics do make a game lag with its framerate but games like GTA.......for example you could be driving away from the police and if too much is going on it will sorta slow down abit and will make it harder and you will crash. its not a huge pain but it can be in the way.
*Car handling and bike handling:Not much of a con but when i drive fast i find it incredibly hard to pull the brake as your car just simply then slides along the road(this is a pain in the damn ass in GTA online races....seriously annoying)
*(PS3 version)no DLC.....oh boy.....360 fans get the GTA4 DLC but PS3...nope. MS paid Take two and rockstar for exclusive content. This truly shows how developers just want money money money. Thanks rockstar for not caring a shit about your PS3 fans. truly dissapointing.

GTA4 in my opinion is brillance. i'd give it a 9.5/10.

I really like the game. I like it because of it's realistic gameplay and graphics. I also like the story, sometimes I find myself playing the missions just to see what happens next. The characters have a lot of personality. I can't wait for The Ballad of Gay Tony.

I've heard of framerate issues on the PC version of the game before... didn't know the PS3 version had too (it's running on a sub-HD resolution afterall... wouldn't expect that)...

Xbox 360 version has custom music... and since you have direct access to the music files of the game, you can set up your own radios on the PC version... I know PS3 lacks system-wide support for custom soundtracks, it was up to Rockstar to make it work...

And last but not least, Microsoft funded the development of the GTA IV expansions (well, actually, they are full games running on the same engine lol), so it's no surprise they are exclusive to the better version of the game... if Rockstar wanted to, they could start working on some multiplat DLC once The Ballad of Gay Tony releases... but I guess they would much rather focus on new games...

I like it because of the free roaming. I always just go aroung jacking cars to cause highspeed car chases. I also like going around with a gun to start shooting people. And its fun when I have to go up againts the army and the SWAT team lol. I also like using cheats to take out a helicopter or a tank and start blowing everything up. Other times I just go exploring. I never do and the missions and story. Lol.

As I've stated elsewhere before, I loved the top down GTA's but lost interest when they went 3D. I really don't like GTA4, combine the content, with the realism, and it just plain worries me.

I enjoyed it much (though i've tended to prefer the Saints Row games this gen -- more fun, better controls and less glitchy). GTA4 has issues, glitches and the like, but rarely to the point where they really bothered me (of course, i tend to be more forgiving with glitches as long as they don't freeze or break the game). I like sometimes just randomly wandering around the city, doing whatever strikes my fancy. It took me forever (well, not really, just much longer than normal) to finish the storyline/misssions because everytime i would be driving to a mission location, i would get distracted by some randomness.

Ironically, when i played GTA3 back on a borrowed PS2 years ago, i didn't really care for it at all.

Its not a bad game, but i feel that the game is to serious and depressing for a GTA title.

This is true, and why i tend to prefer the Saints Row games, which are bit more over-the-top (in a mild Looney Tunes way) and lighthearted, for lack of a better term.

I liked them all until GTA4. My favorite part of the games before were driving in vehicles and they took the fun out of it for me with the crappy camera angles.

Well there is a Rumour of a PS3 exclusive called "Blood and three clovers" Expansion only for PS3.
It focuses on the the mc.rearys.

Also im sorry but MS are big greedy B*tards.

never heard f that rumour... but still, you need to correct the post, since the music and framerate problems are only on the PS3 version of the game...

and the fact that they paid, they simply paid the development costs of the 2 extra games that run on the same GTA IV engine... you bought a complete game, the same game I bought, just that I have the option to buy 2 extra games for $20 each and you don't, that's it... you want Microsoft's GTA games, buy a 360... you don't, you don't have to... Rockstar didn't rip you off, neither did Microsoft...

@Dark G..... yeah Ive heard that the 360 version does in fact run better than the PS3. The PS3 version runs pretty dang good though but the game doesnt look bad at all and Ive had no problems with PS3 version at all. The 360 DLC makes it the definate version to pick up if you have a 360 I do agree. Either way its a phenominal game that really put the series back on top in my opinion cause it was starting to feel like more of the same after the PSP releases.
