but I'm confused with the status of the PS3 PSN Store. 🤔

It's still fully functional just as the Xbox 360 store is. I was downloading things just a few weeks ago, not to mention that a closure would've been big news and all over the internet.
None of the comments in that article said anything about it being closed. Quite the contrary in fact, with multiple people saying it was still open.
What sort of trouble are you having that is making you think it's closed? If you can provide an error code or check some things out to see if you're actually connected to the internet, perhaps we can help you regain access.

For some reason, I picked up that the Xbox 360 store was still active, but not so much with the PS3 Store.
I'm not having trouble, I'm just trying to decide if I should get a Xbox 360 or a PS3. 🤔
