Hi, I bought Witcher 3 as a physical cartridge. I live in UK. But I am Polish, and I want to play Witcher 3 in polish language. This language is not available in my game My polish friends, who live in Poland have got a polish version of that game.
Can I download the game from the shop in another language or do you see any other solution?
@daniel1302 I don't have The Witcher 3 myself, but the only two solutions I see are returning the game and importing a physical copy from Poland or buying a digital version from the Polish eShop.
I know it's not much consolation, but the other consoles have language packs available as downloads (for free). Not sure if it's available on the eShop yet or not.
@daniel1302 Bummer man. There are language packs for the PC and PS4 versions, but probably not on Switch.
I’ve always thought languages being locked behind specific regional releases of games to be an annoying practice. Language packs should be available to download either from the online storefront of the device on release, or all be included on the cart/digital download.
@daniel1302 since games aren't region locked, if polish was supported, there must be a way to download the language pack, I think. I would call Nintendo Support if you can't download the language pack. If there's a screw up with the with the program/system, they should be able to solve your issue. Maybe the pack is tied to a different eshop region, or you discovered a bug that has a work-around to get the language pack. Maybe you're the first person to call Nintendo about it.
By the way i setup separate nintendo polish account but even in polish eshop it shows that supported languages are: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian
Maybe they will add the polish language pack later...
