Yeah, @Euler ... Well, Nintendo tend to do good trailers, when they finally release them, so there is that! While I doubt many of us need a demo, if it is basically the same as BotW in most senses
At this point I don't think there will be a huge game this year on the switch. I'm sure the Mario remaster rumors are true but if the had some Megatron game for the holidays surely they would've at least talked about it by now. With how well the switch is selling and how much they're making it wouldn't be surprising if the just let MS/Sony battle it out the holiday and drop something huge Q1 2021.
So that I don't come off like a total wet blanket, I would love a "Super Mario All-Stars 2'. I've been in such a 3D platformer mood since I started 'A Hat in Time'. It would really make life a little happier for me if they announced that.
Or something from an old, unloved series. F-Zero, Advance Wars, Kid Icarus, etc.. I don't care which one, just something I wasn't expecting.

Give me a heads-up if you're going to send a request please.
I'm confident Nintendo still has at least 2 major games its...bizarrely quiet about. But none of them are close to Animal Crossing, I can guarantee you that.
My guess beyond Mario remasters is a 2D Metroid and Super Mario Party 2 for the rest of the year, but who knows?
I find it hard to believe they got the OG Captain Falcon actor to come back just to record a few slurps and grunts for the Min Min trailer. I think something is coming with him in it. Hopefully a new F-Zero, but it may just be a cameo or spin-off in something else.

This is my guess.... Remasters & 3d World port for 35th anniversary and something else out of the blue on the level of Paper Mario. I wish it were something really big like MK9, but doubtful.
With all the Nintendo rumours we've seen, the general consensus is they have 4unannounced self published games planned for the rest of the year. You would guess 3 of those are Pikmin 3, Mario 3D World, and Mario Allstars, and that as ports they should hopefully be near done.
I'm betting Nintendo are sweating on game 4 being the uncertainty- probably an entirely new game. If this game slips to 2020, then Nintendo will have to move other dates around to cover the loss. The fact Nintendo haven't announced anything suggests they haven't given up entirely of having it ready.
Also, you can also include the previously announced Bravely Default 2 and possibly No More Heroes 3. They could slip to 2021, but aren't part of those mystery games as they are already listed on the eshop and elsewhere.
Isn't it obvious that Falco Lombardi is actually a parrot?
@MrGawain I would have assumed the 4th is the 2D Metroid which popped up with the Paper Mario rumour however I don't see your logic in they haven't announce anything so they haven't given up.
@damien33ad Nintendo has said repeatedly that their release schedule this hasn't been affected. Maybe 2020 was already going to be a light year in terms of releases and we're just assuming it's covid. I've noticed that when there's a year of big, consistent releases it's usually followed by a slower year.
Lets break down the possibilities by Nintendo's development teams and partners.
Nintendo EPD - AAA partner support and primary internal teams. They have development credits across several projects each year. It's difficult to determine which projects are a priority for them.
Creatures - Detective Pikachu 2
Game Freak - New Pokemon Snap
Capcom - Long rumored to be working on a Switch-exclusive Monster Hunter. Either Monster Hunter 5 or Monster Hunter Stories 2? Nobody knows for sure.
Grasshopper Manufacture - No More Heroes III
Camelot - I have little doubt that Camelot has been working on Mario Golf since 2018 after they released Mario Tennis Aces. Although I would prefer a new entry for Golden Sun, the number of rpg games on Switch is already pretty deep.
Platinum - Bayonetta 3
Intelligent Systems - They released Fire Emblem 3H in 2019 and Paper Mario just recently. What would you prefer to see first? Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. 2? Pushmo World 2? Or a new WarioWare? My money is on WarioWare.
Square Enix - Bravely Default II
Good Feel - Released Yoshi's Crafted World in 2019. They're either working on the next Yoshi game or Nintendo may have given them the Mario & Luigi series since developer AlphaDream recently closed their doors.
Atlus - Shin Megami Tensei V
HAL Laboratory - Yet another Kirby game. What else would it be?
Wayforward - Bakugan: Champions of Vestroia
1-up Studio - Ring Fit in 2019, followed by Animal Crossing in 2020. They're probably busy with updates for New Horizons and are well along with Mario Odyssey 2 development.
Marvelous - Rune Factory 5
Nintendo STC - Indie partner support and Wii U/Switch port team. Probably working on either Pikimin 3 or Mario 3D World.
Monolith Soft - Breath of the Wild 2
Grezzo - Released the Link's Awakening remake in 2019. If we don't get a Switch port of Ever Oasis chances are this studio will be quiet for a while.
Next Level Games - Released Luigi's Mansion 3 in 2019. Maybe Metroid Prime: Federation Force 2 in 2021? LOL, I'm joking of course. We probably won't hear anything from them for a while.
Retro Studios - Metroid Prime 4
NDcube - Super Mario Party 2 would be my guess since SMP never received DLC and sold over 10 million copies.
Sora LTD - Super Smash Bros. Ultimate character DLC. Forever and always it seems.
Vanpool - Co-developed Super Kirby Clash in 2019. We're long overdue for a new Dillon's Rolling Western.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,252 games (as of April 30th, 2024)

The big game this holiday will probably be the 3D Mario remasters first-party wise considering it's Mario's 35th anniversary and they're already pushing that a lot in promo material like the LEGO sets and the clothing lines
