Topic: What are the best game card case?

I was considering picking up the HORI Game Card Case 24, but I see that some of the reviewers on Amazon are concerned that it may hold the game cards too tight.

Which game card case would my fellow Nintendo Lifers recommend?

@Sinton
Hiya !
I recommend HORI 24 since it's cheap and sturdy, also can hold until 24 games, very economic.
Beside, i can customize my HORI Card case with my own pictures. Take a look mine.

I stored 3DS games inside White HORI Card case, while NDS games inside Blue HORI Card case. I put my own design in Front and inside the Card case. Pretty neat, huh ?

Btw, they are not too tight.
They are tight enough to keep your games safely.
I have owned White case for 4 years, Blue case for 3 years and No Problem at all.

@Anti-Matter That looks neat!

Yeah, I like that it holds up to 24 games. How are the games fitting? Is it too snug? I don’t want to feel like I’m chipping away at the game cards each time I take them out off the case...

I have this one as well. I've used it a lot, I think it's perfect. When you start using it, it may feel like it's too snug, but it will get better over time.

I agree with everyone, the Hori is definitely the nicest holder. I have that one and I have 2 small 4-card cases from my RDS Switch case...those are ok but it's just a tray so the cards fall out (and it only holds 4). The Hori really just works nice. I do feel like the plastic latch and flex-hinge will eventually fall off with excessive use. However I bought the Hori at launch and bought the PDP at launch. The PDP is more sturdy with an actual latch and metal hinge but the PDP CRUSHES the games, and it requires prying effort to get them out, requires odd angles to get the rear ones near the hinge, and with sharp edges managed to cut my knuckle. The Hori does grip games tight and require some force but not "this card is going to snap in 2 if I don't re-position it" like the PDP.

Not a huge fan of the HORI, it felt waaay too tight. It feels okay when you put the game, but I was really feeling unwell when I had to put them out. I replaced it with that :

only holds 12 games, but you put them into some kind of foam, which feels way better than the super rigid plastic.
Also: super cute.

But just as a heads up: I also own the 3DS hori game card case, and IMO it's way better than the Switch one. If you own the 3DS one, do not expect the same tightness, something just went wrong in the design.

@neufel Who made the one pictured? And does it hold the games, or are they just laying there?

@neufel thanks got the mario one from Amazon. Prefer the block you have but was 5 pounds more. Mario will have to do

When they released they were all the same price, but I guess the Christmas season showed which one were more popular.

I have the black Zelda PowerA case. It's really nice. My only disappointment is that it's too big to fit inside my Gametraveller Zelda case.

I have the Hori case and it is tight for sure. It bugs me. But the case itself is durable and there is no worry about the games popping out. I would rather find a 24 card case that is thinner. I had the 12 card case originally and could easily slide it in my Switch case, but the 24 is thick and puts a lot more pressure on the Switch in that case, which I do not like.
