@CroRock It might be released at 5am central time (US) possibly I don't know. I'm only suggesting this because it becomes midnight in Hawaii at 5am central time(US). Hawaii is five hours behind Central time.

Doesn't the eshop update on 3 p.m. CEST? That's when I usually see the full list pop up on sites like this.

@Scrummer I've found if you waggle both joy con about in the air really fast it works wonders for download speeds.

But only if you're standing on tippee-toes, while doing the Macarena.

As for Stardew Valley. I didn't get it either when it first came out. But when I got it, I GOT IT!! It's a lovely thing. Not to everyone's tastes though.

Early tip that it's taken me 30 minutes to work out for myself: The right thumbstick moves a cursor around the screen, allowing you to click on things I previously had no idea how to 'open', primarily the Journal.

Time it takes to save needs tuning, considering it saves at the end of everyday - it's getting on for 30 seconds.

@Meowpheel there is a cursor but you can play totally without it. Something like Minecraft controls works..

@CroRock You can't totally play without the cursor, so far as I can see, cos there doesn't appear to be another way to open the journal.

I guess the journal can be ignored, but it's the sort of thing that might be useful (IDK, never played SV on any other platform).

But the cursor doesn't do much else, so it's not a big deal that the cursor is there, IMO.

I don't particularly miss touch controls, as everything is so small touch controls could get pretty fiddly.

@gcunit journal? Where is it and how to open it? I’m new to this game so still learning and enjoying it very much by the way.

My only complain so far is long saving time and some kind of bug I guess where background music starts “cracking”.

EDIT
I found that journal and you can totaly open it without cursor... just press minus (-) on left joycon

Either I'm going to have to find more things irl to do or I'm going to have to curbstomp my brothers off my Switch.

Consistent with their tendency of terribly inconvenient timing, they decide to play Xenoverse right when SDV went up on the eshop.

Maybe some yoga and a good stretch will do.

... or maybe I need to consider getting that second Switch.

I’m about to buy this, I never bought it on PC before for some reason. It just seems like a happy chill game. My brother in law is a farmer, seeing how tired he is all the time doesn’t make me want to be a farmer or play games like farming simulator. But this is different as it’s not just about farming and doesn’t seem to be a stressful game. Yet another game that skipped by me on PC but has caught my attention on Switch, one of the many reasons why I’m loving owning a Switch so much.

Edit: After the introduction I’m already sold on it. I now feel sad I haven’t played games like this and Harvest Moon before.

@AlternateButtons It's just about learning how to apply and release pressure on the line adequately. Easier with a mouse, but very doable with a controller, for the most part.

Currently Playing: Yakuza Kiwami 2 (SD)

@AlternateButtons I have struggled with the fishing. Caught one on my first go, but beginning to wonderif it was a fluke, cos I've not managed to reel in any more since.

I'm not missing something, am I, in believing there is no e-manual for this game?
