Anyone else download this one yet?

Not too far into it yet myself, but it seems fun so far (though I'm not a fan of having to continuously hold down the left stick to crouch). Heard it gets pretty tough, so hope I can stick with it.

Sounds cool but I am in no rush so I will get it when it’s in a sale.

How does LR work with games like this that need patching?

If you have to update the game to play then what's the point in having it on a cart. it would still be unplayable if servers go down.
Or am I missing something?

Yeah, it's been pretty choppy for me in the frame rate department. Not bad enough to keep me from playing, but it's noticeable & odd given it's an OG Xbox game.

Pretty tough too. I haven't yet had a full party wipe, but I've come close a few times (I've had to be revived a few times, and there's been a couple times where I'm the last one standing & had to revive everyone else).

This game definitely brings me back to times when shooters were different, and that is both good and bad! Though it is mostly good. I don't know when I will get around to picking this one up myself since I have played through it pretty far on PC. I do love having so many choices for Star Wars games on Nintendo Switch. Now only if KOTOR could make its grand appearance.

Anyone have any tips for "Belly of the Beast"?

Due to the time limit it seems to run counter to the slower, more tactical nature of the rest of the game, and I can't get a handle on it. If I try to be a bit more gung ho I naturally get stomped, but if I try to fight smart I don't have enough time left to finish what I believe is the last room (healing up at the Bacta station before the final room is a no go too since it takes up too much time, and that in itself is a problem since my team is usually low on health at that point).

Finished this up earlier today. Solid game that'll be even better once they patch up the frame rate issues.

Of course genre preferences come into play, but I don't think it's quite as must play as some of the other gen 6 classics that have hit the Switch such as FFX or Okami, but definitely worth a look if you're into Star Wars (or sci-fi in general), and it's nice to have it on the system.

I think I ran into a glitch not yet mentioned however. Whenever you clear a campaign you unlock some sort of development related extra in the main menu (such as concept art), however the last one (which appears to be an interview) didn't unlock after I completed the Kashyyyk campaign (the final one), which it says is it's unlock condition. Most people probably won't care about it, but I figured I should mention it.

Never had the original X Box back then so I missed out on some of the good few classic games for the old X Box such as Star War Republic Commando.

I wouldnt mind getting Republic Commando from the eshop but I need to check on one of my microSD cards to see if I have any save space left

It's 50% off in the eshop at the moment.

How many issues have been patched out since release? I know there were framerate issues, incorrect button prompts, and a lack of gyro controls (maybe not a traditional "issue" but I'd consider it to be one personally) when the game first launched, but I also remember there were plans to patch the game. I'd like to get the physical bundle with this and Racer when that releases, but I'm curious about the current state of the game. I really enjoyed Republic Commando on Steam and would love to pick up a physical copy, I just want to make sure it's at least playable now.

@VIIIAxel Sorry, I don't have an answer about any patches, but what about the earlier comments above make you think the game wasn't 'at least playable'?

You guys had me at blood and semen.

@gcunit I've heard about pretty serious framerate issues, and multiple posts here mention them as well. There's no reason for a game that ran on the original Xbox to have those types of issues on modern hardware. Asking if it was "at least playable" may have been a bit of an exaggeration on my part, but I think it's reasonable to be concerned about those issues. And speaking for myself personally, I find stick aiming in an FPS to be incredibly finnicky. Gyro aiming is a much-needed feature in my personal opinion.
