Topic: Resident Evil - Switch releases

As suspected, the Origins bundle with only have one game included and even in Japan. Also, the inferior Resident Evil Zero will be on the cartridge. If Capcom has to pick one game on cartridge, at least pick the superior Resident Evil remake. Also, Resident Evil 4 will be download only...why? Resident Evil 4 got a physical re-release on PS4. There is no reason not to do it again for the Switch. C'mon Capcom, either go all physical or all digital but don't half-ass it.

I will still probably download the Resident Evil remake cause it is one of my favorite games all time but I could careless for the other games.

I'm holding off for a digital sale if they aren't bothering with physical. Capcom do some good discounts. Their attitude to Switch pushes me towards being disinterested in all honesty.

At first I was disappointed.

Then I remembered I preordered two 1 terabyte micro SD cards last night... bring it on.

More and more I see bigger and bigger games going digital, and more and more people preferring it. If you can't beat em... join em. Less stress that way.

I still buy physical when I can and will continue to do so if possible, but I've let go with regard to caring about digital only. Nobody cares about the games on my shelf anyways, and truth is, once I put a game up on the shelf I forget about it anyways (provided I also bought digitally for convenience, which I do for all the classics).

If only 1 of the 3 games will be physical, I may just opt to go all digital myself. I can't remember if capcom had a sale on revelations if you buy one you get the other at a discount. Hopefully they do that here with all 3 and if thats the case I'll go all digital

I WAS interested in buying these games when re-released on Switch, especially Resident evil 4. Brilliant games. However, the price is almost unbelievable. 30 quid each! Resident evil 4 is nearly 15 years old and has seen numerous releases already.

Capcom overcharging for these in my book. I’ve gone from day one to waiting for a big sale. Would set you back 90 quid for all 3! (Zero, one, and four)

Yea im out myself until i see a price drop. If Amazon still had prime member deals it would be day 1 for me. But oh well I'll wait

Bought Resident Evil 0 and can confirm there is no discount for the other games. It sucks, but ill wait for a price drop on the other two.

@GeeEmm 0 is probabaly the only one I'd buy at this point since i have the other 2 on gamecube. But again, not sure I can justify the price just yet

Yeah, I only bought 0 because ive never played it.
Played the hell out of the other 2 so they can wait, but $120 for the three game is a bit of a joke.

I think it's only 90 for all 3 but still. Unless 4 was confirmed to be 60 for a physical?

@GeeEmm ahh gotcha. Sorry for assuming. It's a hefty price though for sure. I'm hoping they reconsider closer to launch and give us discounts if We purchase one or the other of the two collection games at minimum

All good. But yeah, a discount would be nice. We'll see what happens in the next couple of months.

Does RE 0 have the fixed camera angles like the first game? I’m leaning more towards just getting RE 4.

Yes it has. RE Zero is the last tradtional RE game that was released. It shows that the formula was slowly cracking, but it was still enjoyable. Well, except for Leech zombies. Fudge those guys.

I really want to buy REmake and 0 for the 3rd time after the cube and my PS4 versions but no way in hell am I paying these prices. I'm gutted about it as I'd love to play them wherever I go. If they were priced like Onimusha then I would buy in a flash. There's no need for it at all.

I only want 4, but there's no rush. I'll grab it when it goes on offer.

I think I’m only getting RE 4 too. I’m late into joining the series and have no real desire to play the old fixed camera game. But that may change.

I barely played 4 because I never really got into it. Maybe all these years later it'll be different. But I already own it on gamecube as well as the remake of 1 on gamecube. I'm probabaly going to get the collection first before i get 4. The 1st Is the only one I finished though out of the 3. So I definitely need to get the other 2 at some point.

I love 4 and own it on GC and WII but it'd be foolish to pay anything more than $20 for it at this point.
